Not knowing where to go in Itu we ventured downtown and wandered into this church. It was quite interesting in its architecture, a bit worn down and in midst of some renovations but you could feel the presence of spirit.

a very interesting museum, even because it´s building is a historical one. You can see how walls were built, and see the street from nice balconies. Besides there are many objects from the end of XIX century. Men who decided for the Republic System in Brazil met in this building and used some of the furniture you will see there. Very well conservated. Very nice people to guide you.

a very nice place to go! silently, with a beautiful view to many trees, birds, tables to pic nic, and, of course, the "varvito", which is a kind of sedimentary bulding, that is said to be the former bed of the river Tietê in pre historic times! It´s not a place to jogging, but it´s sure a place to relax!

I loved to drive along the river Tietê, much more cleaned than in the capital city, surrounded by trees and flowers. On the other side of this road there are some places to rest and just to enjoy the view. Anyway it´s a very straight road, it demands attention

a big and nice square surrounded by old houses, some of them very well conservated. it seemed to be a safe place, that gets full of people from the city during the weekends and specially at night. it´s well lighted, full of benchs, and very clean.

A cidade de Itu possui várias igrejas legais para se conhecer, mas a Igreja de N.S. do Patrocínio é a mais bonita, fica bem no centro da cidade, vale a pena conhecer e admirar o seu estilo barroco.

Clean air in the countryside of Sao Paulo State, besides candy and handmade chocolates
It's amazing they don't charge an entrance fee or parking, so considering the free side of it I consider the place a good outing specially for the little ones. It's a small, convenient and nice farm that a family will enjoy. But there are some "but":
1) avoid after 12 - I left just after, parking full, crowded, then it is not nice
2) cacau tour - despite the best efforts of "cumadre", avoid it. Waste of time and money. Take the time and enjoy anything else in the farm.

an old and conservated building, full of objects related to the advent of electricity in Brazil. It has also some devices to teach people and children how much electricity you spend in shower, lamps etc

It´s a beautiful church, with details in carved wood, not too much decorated, tipical from colonial times.
