There are plenty of great Beaches. Some may prefer to miss the beach crowding during the warm season. There are great eateries nearby. I liked Padres beach for it's natural beauty and bodysurfing.

During a stay with a friends' family in Minas Gerais we took her kids to Espirito Santo to visit the beach for a weekend. After a three hour journey to Ipanema, an overnight stay and a seven hour drive to Guarapari we arrived at a buzzing resort full of beautiful friendly people enjoying an unusually dry and hot weekend during the kids holidays. An absolutely wonderful safe beach, rolling waves, friendly vendors selling cold drinks, fabulous ice creams, a huge variety of hot & cold food. Wonderful days in the sun,in the sea, and evenings strolling the Promenade with wide selection of reasonable restaurants serving delicious food, a funfair packed with hair raising rides and excited children. An absolutely exquisite weekend with not another Englishman in sight. Heaven !!

We have the beach to ourselves 80° and sunny in the July winter. They say the currents make the water even warmer than it is during the Brazilian summer. We played in the big waves a long time.

The beach is awesome, calm water, clean water. but it gets busy during summer, holidays and sometimes even weekends. Pretty and young people mostly, but a lot of families too, since the water is calm.
Around 2pm the water starts coming closer so we lose space on the sand. I recommend in the morning the most.
There are some bars to eat and drink, which serves some food but nothing special. I would still prefer to take my cooler with food and drinks. Sometimes at the nightclub there they have some events, especially on summer, and it is really nice, named Thale Beach Club.
Take the day off and visit is! Plus it is close by Bacutia, a few meters away and its even nicer. A lot of spots for pictures.

If you want to see beautifull people, here IS the place. LOTS of young people. Not good for families and people that want to enjoy the sea!

An enchanting beach! Charming view, with calm waters and sea that looks like a painting. It a great place to spend with the family or your beloved partner.
However, the city does not invest on it. There's no public bathroom - it's absurd! There's a local who let you use if you pay (but he/she is not always around). Fortunately, there's a camping area that allows use of their toilet!

The beach is clean, although it is near the center of the city. The sand is narrow, then the sea is close. I think it is nice for small children.

This is the main beach in Guarapari. Centrally located, with a long sidewalk. Very nice for a walk.
In the middle of it there's the famous blue marlin, one of the landmarks of the city.
There are also restaurants all along the beach. You can enjoy one of them while peoplewatching.
I was there in a cloudy day in winter and it was very pleasant -- I really don´t know how it is in high season.
