Beit She'an (help·info) (Hebrew: בֵּית שְׁאָן Beth Šəān; Arabic: بيسان, Beesān (help·info), Beisan or Bisan), is a city in the Northern District of Israel which has played historically an important role due to its geographical location, at the junction of the Jordan River Valley and the Jezreel Valley. It has also played an important role in modern times, acting as the regional center of the villages in the Beit She'an Valley.

This national park encompasses 400 acres. Excavations here date back to the 1920s. There is still much to be uncovered here. These ruins date back to the 16th century BC. There is much of interest here: a huge theatre, enormous bathhouses, a Roman temple, public lavatories, etc. Our tour guide explained how the city was laid out on a grid much like NYC. Some of these streets are still quite evident. This park is a bit out of the way so it most likely won't be overrun with crowds at any given time. We had the park to ourselves the day we visited.

If you are planning to visit Israel, I highly recommend EDI Travel. Our experience in the Holy Land was awesome. Each day was packed with visiting sites. The hotel accommodations were first class. Food: excellent. For me, what distinguished this from other tours was Boaz. What set him apart from the other tour guides was his passion for his heritage, and his country, its history. I was able to "eavesdrop" on other groups as I walked around the sights. The guides were knowledgeable also. But they lacked Boaz's zeal. Boaz brought history to life. His explanations of the culture during the times of Jesus helped me to better understand the parables Jesus told. Hope to return with our adult children in the future. Will definitely choose EDI Travel.

Gan-Garoo Australian Park - a unique attraction containing wildlife and vegetation from far-off Australia. Gan-Garoo is home to free-roaming kangaroos of various types that you can pet and hand-feed; a parrot sanctuary where you can feed the birds from juicy fruit skewers. In the zoo's Australian farm you'll encounter farm animals characteristic of the Australian continent. There are petting corners where mini-goats are fed and groomed plus an assortment of other interesting animals - adorable koalas, cassowary, emu, flying foxes, reptiles and more...
Kids love feeding and petting the Kangaroos, parrots, sheep, and goats at this zoo. Beware that in the summer it can get extremely hot. The new dinosaur exhibit is very nice, and provides a very good introduction to those extinct animals. The zoo is located right next to Gan HaShlosha natural pools.

Established in the 5th century B.C. on a hilltop south of Nahal Harod, this park is one of the world’s largest archaeological sites containing an entire Roman-Byzantine city.
This is one of those places that reminds you who the real ruler is of the universe. By God's providence this site has been preserved throughout the Egyptian, Biblical, Babylonian, Hellenistic, and Byzantine periods. About a block long but packed with beautiful artifacts and finds.

The Park contains three beautiful Springs that flow year-round plus a large stream - Nahal HaKibbutzim, whose waters flow in the heart of agricultural terrain. Approximately 15 km of paths were paved in the Park and they lead travelers safely and securely to the Springs. Development activities at the Park are kept to a minimum in respect for the local nature. Visiting arrangements are designed to allow the Park's nature and vegetation to be replenished. Visitors may explore the park on foot, bicycles or green vehicles only. Entrance to the park on foot or bicycle is free !! For your convenience you can rent bicycles of various types, green (electric) vehicles or board the electric shuttle that travels across the Park - enabling you to get on or off at any of the Park's attractive stops. At the Park's entrance is a convenience store and rest rooms. Opening hours All week - 9 a.M. Until 16 p.M. At Summer time - 9 a.M. Until sunset. Here you can enjoy a magnificent trip in nature, splash around in natural Springs whose waters remain warm throughout the year!
The Park is pretty well maintained and the service (in place and via phone) is very responsive and helpful. There are many options to enjoy it - hiking, golf cart, bicycle and swimming...
We visited the place during the summer and decided on leaving the hiking\golf-carts aside and went directly into the stream (50 meters from the main entrance). It's between 45 to an hour of a wet walk\swim with small kids (4-7 years old), just be sure to brings flotation belt\water wings for the little ones and a sea mattress\small floating boat for both your bag and for the kids to have some more fun or rest from time to time. Also, get in with shoes\sandals for better comfort and, if you have two cars, you may split them and park the second one at the parking near the 'triangular pool' at the end of the stream trail, it would save you a 20-30 minutes walk back to the park entrance.

The place is great: sweet water, a number of natural pools suitable for every age, small Waterfalls, large lawns and quite a lot of shade. The cafeteria and snack-bar should be avoided, but apart from that, a wonderful place.
The comment made by masterbrewer613 is true; many small fishes biting away at your soles. Funny, certainly not painful, but some may find this unpleasant.
However, the biggest drawback, without which this would deserve a full five stars, is the fact that they close the place at 5PM, and they kick everybody out of the water at 4:30 already, and this, IN SUMMER! This is so bizarre as to be unbelievable; the best and most pleasant hours of the day are dusk, when the heat goes down, and to sit and float in the water then would be heaven. So to drive people away at 4:30 spoils the experience for the whole day.

Belvoir National Park is located east of the highlands of Ramot Issachar, and overlooks the spectacular views. In addition to the remains of the impressive fortress in the park, the park also focuses on cultivating rare and endangered plants species and reintroducing them into nature. It takes about an hour to tour the park and there is a picnic area, observation points and a sculpture garden featuring the artist Yigal Tumarkin’s works. The National Park is partially accessible for people in wheelchairs.
Standing on the ramparts gives you a commanding view of the Jordan Valley underneath and it explains the location of this grand crusader castle. When we visited in Nov '16, some renovation works were underway, but the workmen allowed us entry. It is worthwhile making a small detour up the hill to visit this historical site.

Well worth a visit and a detour, this kibbutz business is the basic non-chemical or pesticide crop control. The experiments with the use of natural predators to avoid any pesticide use is unusual and interesting. the kibbutz is one of the few remaining devoted to collectivity ideals.

The site wasn't disappointing - WE were disappointed because it is closed for two months!! Wish which parks were closed were advertised when the park card is purchased. Sounds like the floor is similar though to Zippori which also has a zodiac - still, would have liked to see this one! Should reopen by 8th October 2016.

The campus is huge. There are multiple pools that are not really suitable for swimming, but are definitely very refreshing. The region has some of the hottest temperatures anywhere in Israel. Nevertheless it is great fun itting in these pools. The kids enjoyed themselves tremendously.
There are multiple attractions like and Omega and a long water slide etc.
