American architect Frank Gehry is responsible for this architectural masterpiece: this fantastic chrome and metal creation houses a large collection of modern and contemporary art, a continuation of the Guggenheim legacy.
The building is without doubt stunning, whether it's worth paying to enter is another thing.
I enjoyed the experience but my husband who is more of a traditionalist where art is concerned did not think much of the art installations and conceptional art exhibits.
If you are on a budget you can enjoy much of the building, the puppy, the spider etc from just walking around the site.

Our guide, Marta, was incredible! There was great email communication leading up to the tour and she even went out of her way to make a special drop-off for us! The tour itself was super interesting and brought us to wineries that we wouldn't have otherwise found on our own. Finishing with a delicious lunch in Laguardia capped off the best day of our trip! Highly recommended.

This is a special place to see along the coast in the Basque country!! The coast itself is beautiful. You have a nice place to see the church when you are in the port of Bakio. It's nice to take some pictures first from there. After you can go up by car and park at the large parking space. The path to the church is muddy and slippery, so wear good shoes. But it's worth the trip. It's a pity that it's very touristic even in winter days. It's nice to look at the rough see.

Casa Primicia is the oldest civil building in the medieval town of Laguardia, the place where the Church received the taxes of the peasants since the XV Century, the first winery in Rioja Alavesa. Visiting Casa Primicia you will discover the true history of wine in Rioja and you will be amazed by our incredible caves digged 900 years before where we keep our best secret; our wine.
My husband & I booked Reservations online prior to our visit to Spain. We reserved a tour with an english speaking guide, Fabiola. She was gracious and knowledgeable. The tour was small and intimate...only one other couple joined us. The location was ideal...right in the...MoreIt is a pleasure to note how much you enjoyed our Tour. I would like to thank you for letting us know how impressed you were with our allocation and our historic cellars. It is always gratifying to receive such praise. Best regards, Fabiola Ansedes

Online I had found this geological wonder that is found only in Zumaia, Spain. I was so fascinated by it that I wanted to see it. I looked all through the internet, and the only option supposedly was to take a boat ride that would bring us to these formations. I also found some of these formation behind the Ermita de San Telmo. At least I would be able to see these, I thought.
However, when we arrived at Zumaia, we headed for the beach first. The splendor of these formations were everywhere on that beach! I didn't even know about these! I had my camera at hand took pictures left and right. It was so fascinating and all that for free! Even if the sea is near high tide, we can still some of these formations.
Even though it was raining and the sea was wild, nothing could stop me from enjoying this geological marvel. It was as if I was on another planet! When we left the beach, we found a statue of a horse head and the locals tried to mimic it as if it was made with Flysh, but truly that wasn’t the case.
This is a must to see! Nowhere else can this be seen! Truly amazing and utterly gorgeous! It's truly worthwhile!

I think you can take a bus (or a taxi) to this place but I walked all the way from the Vizcaya Bridge. It's about 1.5 hour walk. You will pass through Las Arenas, then you will see the stunning mansions from early XX century, then the beach and you'll finally arrive to the cliff there you have the option to use the stairs or a lift (EU 0,20) then you have another 30 minutes walk to the actual Acantilados de Azkorri. The view to the port and to Getxo are incredible.

Long, wide, unspoiled, clean beach with no cafes, mess or noise. Lots of surfers from time to time but they bother no one. Never crowded or noisy. Easy parking.
