We stopped in Altdorf while driving from Lugano to Zurich. One main reason for selecting Altdorf for stopover was to visit the bronze statue of the Swiss national hero Wilhelm Tell.
Since it was on our route, it was definitely a worth visiting. Altdorf is for sure a lovely town to visit.

Haldi is easily accessible from Schattdorf. The cable car is reasonably priced and quickly takes you to the top of Haldi mountain from where the views over the Reuss delta are magnificent! We went down the sledding slope and had enormous fun! Saw people skiing higher up- definitely only for people who know what they are doing.

This little chapel along the lake is covered in the most beautiful murals depicting significant events in the life of local hero William Tell. The location is just stunning and it is only a short walk from the roadside. There are bells on the plateau above it which are supposed to be able to ring out the tune you select. Unfortunately this was not working but there is no sign to tell you that it is out of order. Pity.

If you are lucky and the air is crystal clear, you can see 9 different lakes from the Fronalpstock, plus a few arms of the contorted Vierwaldstättersee (Lake Lucerne).
You reach this mountaintop via the small village of Stoos, which itself can be reached by a steep funicular train from the Muotathal, or by a chair lift from Morschach. Once you reach Stoos, you can actually access 2 mountain tops: the Klingenstock and the Fronalpstock (covered by the same original train ticket).
For the Klingenstock, there is a 6-person chairlift starting about 30 minutes walking from the center of Stoos. There are no amenities on top of the Klingenstock, other than a toilet, but you do get a nice view. You can either take the chairlift back down to Stoos or you can take the 2-hour walk from the Klingenstock to the Fronalpstock. This is only recommended if you have good walking/hiking shoes and are not afraid of heights as there are quite narrow sections with steep drops on both sides. The 4-person set of 2 chairlifts to the Fronalpstock is about 5-10 minutes from the center of Stoos.
The combination of the two peaks with either the mountain-top hike or up and down via the chairlifts is very much recommended - the view is spectacular, and at the Fronalpstock there is a quite pleasant and quite large restaurant serving typical Swiss food from the region (see separate posting). As another poster already mentioned, the fare is quite reasonable compared to many of the other conveyances to mountaintops in the area. With the one fare, you can access both the funicular to the village of Stoos as well as the chairlifts to the 2 mountain peaks.

Next to the Swiss Holiday park, and I think belonging to it, is the Go-cart track. We went with some friends to celebrate my birthday and my friends god-daughter. We bought five 8-minute rides and as we were a group of five we went out as a group and raced as a group. It was great exciting fund and surprisingly safe considering we were facing and we could do 60. However as they were electric cars the safety observer could kill the power to the cars and change the maximum speed so unexperienced and kids had ti drive slower. We had two spin outs and both times he quickly cut the power to 5 k and waited until we had sorted ourselves out and then off we went.
I loved going round and each time seeing my time. The record for my day was 27 seconds my time was 32 and the best in our group 28,
Highly recommended you just need to be 140 cm. No noise and no smell what a joy

I own a lot of Victorinox knifes, I am very proud of them and I offer very often Swiss knifes to friends and family. So I thought it would be a great occasion to visit the Center during our stay in Brunnen. Unfortunately we were very disappointed.
When we entered the center, there was no one around, there is no reception on the ground floor and you do not know what there is to visit and at what time. So we walked up to the first floor where we found an information on the wall saying that the next movie presentation would be in a couple of minutes. Then suddenly a lady showed up and gave us some very incoherent information which we did not understand although we speak the local Swiss German dialect. Then a group of visitors left the presentation room and the lady closed it behind them and turned her attention to the group. She gave them some information about the region of the Muotathal. After approximately five minutes we tried to kindly ask why the presentation room was closed and when the next presentation would be. Then suddenly a second lady appeared and told us in a very harsh way that we just had disturbed an interview for oversees visitors. She then gave us information in a very unfriendly way which was totally inconsistent with what we thought we had heard from the first lady. We finally left disappointed.
There is also a shop and the young lady there was very friendly. Unfortunately we were no longer in the mood for shopping.

Very nice 2-hour walk down from Seelisberg to Bauen. Came back by boat to the Rütli (Grütli) where Switzerland was founded in 1291. From Rütli to Seelisberg, it is a nice 1h30 steep uphill walk. There is a cable train from Seelisberg to Treib and steam boats to Lucerne.

Some of the Swiss passes have become somewhat sterile with for example the Gotthard for long stretches practically an autobahn. The Klausenpass is not like that. It feels still quite dangerous with the road becoming quite precarious in places with just a lousy fence between your car and the abyss. This is because of the pass having always been of limited economic importance. Still, of course this being Switzerland you needn't worry about your safety as long as you drive carefully.
The mountain scenario is fantastic, as are the cows roaming the road during the alpine summer (on the peak they stay until the end of August before moving back a level lower towards their winter home). The kids had great fun with the cows, who were calm and easygoing, seemingly enjoying the attention.
If you are feeling that Gotthard, Susten or Furka are too boring, try the Klausenpass. If feels a lot more adventurous while still being safe family fun.
