We spent about an hour wandering through these beautiful Gardens - wow !!
Wonderful old trees and lots of colourful plants surrounded by manicured lawns. The best part was the childrens garden with the most amazing toilet block - looks like something Gaudi designed - very cool :) Albury folks, you are so lucky to have these Gardens to enjoy.

Norieul Park is an area right by the Murray River shaded by huge River Gums. Good food and drinks available at the Riverdeck cafe. Walking path and lots of space for kids to run around and play in the fabulous playground area.
Great at any time of the day to relax by the river and watch the birds and ducks and people

Monument Hill War Memorial

Reviewed By Ert53 - Australia

Monument Hill gives you a great view over Albury and the surrounding area. The view might have been even better with some intepretation of what you could see.
The monument itself was also impressive, and there was some explanation, but a little more would have been great, too.
I drove up and it is a little bit complicated (especially coming down again - not so hard going up, as you can see your destination!) but you can also walk up, which would be rewarding if you have the time.

Lake Hume

Lake Hume is huge, and I mean HUGE. It was formed when the Murray River was dammed and forms the basis for a wildlife haven and beautiful scenery. Stay at Discovery Parks and you will have a fantastic time. Then take the Snowy Mountains Way - amazing drive.

I always love going to the library museum as you always learn something new about Albury each time. The exhibits are not huge but they are well thought out and informative.

We enjoyed the beautiful and spacious building and the interesting art.

Lieutenant Albert Borella V.C. & Victoria Cross Memorial

Reviewed By Paddy1954 - Sydney

I've seen this memorial many times when visiting Peard's Nursery and Café Borella but have never reviewed it before now.
An outstanding tribute to the history and achievements of this WW1 & WW2 veteran. Café Borella also has a great historical display of this man and the medals and honours he was awarded. Next time you visit Albury take the time to go and have a look at this piece of local and national history, have a coffee and lunch while you're there. Great place. Recommended

Murray River Trail

Reviewed By Trish M

Park your car at Noreuil Park and take the track East to Wonga Wetlands or East through Wodonga's hidden billabongs, Belvoir Gardens finally connecting to the House Creek tracks. The track to Wonga wetlands wanders along the river past ancient River Red Gums and wild life (we saw an Echidna and many birds) with the added attraction of various indigenous sculptures. A lovely way to enjoy the clean pristine environment of Albury/Wodonga
