We have a business meeting before yesterday and I have to mention that the services are very bad.
The food was good ( anyhow below expectation) but services need urgent improvement.
E.g. - we order beer and we have to wait more than 25 minutes to receive our order.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. All of the staff were totally professional, polite, nice: really good training or character behind (or both).
It is a place decorated with gusto, located in one of the oldest (if not the oldest) and most charming areas of the city of Constanta, otherwise a chintzy, or grim (depending whom you ask or where you go), city in the Romanian lands. The square where this resto sits, named after the Roman poet Ovid, is a growing and fast-changing area with access to cars increasingly limited and the pedestrian area expanding rapidly, making space to cute bistros and cafes. It is just a five-minute walk away from the Black Sea coast in an area the locals refer to as the Peninsula.
Not only the ambience and the staff were great, but also the food was very appetising. The pastas are beautifully cooked, with spice-balanced sauces. They come in normal portions, enough for one, and not huge as in many other restaurants serving Italian dishes where quantity matters more than quality. The menu is generous in diversity, offering, on top of the usual Italian fare, a lot of the local dishes, which, it is good know, most are meat-heavy.
We even had some music during our visit: and even that was not bad at all.
Overall, a great evening with good, balanced food and very congenial staff.

The service was quick , the food was great. I had mussels and my husband had some Greek speciality. The view is nice, over the sea. The prices are ok!

We had a full meal here, appetizers, main course, desert, drinks and coffee. The food looks good, was good, but not really impressive, especially since prices are relatively high and portions medium. Quality of the Italian platter meats not so high, while I could say that the cheesecake was delicious. The name is totally misleading and only a memory of a past when they actually had some Irish dishes. You can eat better in Constanta. The service is ok. Music is kind of non-interesting and it feels like the place where some of the overnight rich people come. Since it was winter, we could feel the lack of good isolation for the side door, plus the door not closing properly.

After some less than favourable experiences in mamaia for food we finally came across Chevalet. The food was very good and fresh despite it being quiet (end of season). The fajitas were huge and easily filled us. Mamaia isn't yet used to non romanian tourists and this came across in most places we ate where we were largely ignored. Chevalet on the other hand went out of their way to look after us, even offering blankets as it was cooler than normal for mamaia... not England however but we appreciated the offer. If you are fed up of cold food with lacklustre service in the area then the trek out to this restaurant is well worth it

Very cosy, chic place. Great food, wonderful services. Sea food is cooked like heaven. Please add it!
Yesterday I found this place and decided on an early dinner.
Another nicely set out restaurant I decided to eat in the conservatory, only down side with that as it's classed as outside and attracts the smokers. Pity
For starters I had some very nice fried calamari with a tasty seafood sauce.
Main course I chose slice fillet of beef served in a truffle sauce on a bed of spinach, very tasty and worth the money.
In addition a lovely bread roll!!!
Give it a try.

Such a disappointment! It started out well but it soon fell apart... A party of three, we got there hungry after a day at the beach. We are not fussy eaters at all. The road to the restaurant is in a very bad condition - dusty and very poorly marked, with no lights...Moreover, once you get there and park your car - wherever you can find a spot - you must cross a circulated railway in order to get into the restaurant!!! Yes, it is kinda dangerous! We got a table right away, as the place was not very crowded but neverhteless, the waiters seemed overwhelmed, as we waited a long while for someone to pay atrention to us, and in the end I just went up to a table where I saw some menus and brought them to our table myself! This should have been a warning signal but ... there was more! The table cloth was stained and as night was falling there were hardly any lights lit. We ordered the food finally, after several attempts to notify somebody, and we had to wait a very long time for the food. When it came, it was already cold so it was no longer tasty. Before that they had brought a basket of bread, and because we were hungry like wolves, we ate all the bread before the main course arrived. The cold main course which we ate in darkness - we had to use the smartphone lights to see what was in our plates and avoid the fishbones. There was also a persistent smell of rotting seaweed from the beach! Pungent smell! In the end we asked for the desert cheese pie - which we hadb ordered from the very beginning - and the bill! The bill came quickly and also we were announced - without any apologies - that there is no more cheese pie! But upon checking the bill we saw that the pies were billed. We told the waitress that we saw that other people who arrived after us, got the pie, and that although we didn't get it it is on the bill, and the waitress - visibly annoyed- rolled her eyes and hissed at us that we can pay deducting the price of the pie! As if she was doing us a favor by allowing us not to pay the cheese pies we didn't get! We'll never ever step again into this rathole and others might as well spare themselves from such disappointment!

A fine restaurant, set in beautiful location, right on one lake from Neptun.
I've been at dinner, in the evening - a relaxed atmosphere, slow music in the background, sound of frogs from the lake, smell of the sea... Good service, really good food and almost every drink you can think of. Still, it's pretty expensive - I think we paid about 250-300 lei for a table of 4. It worth it, as the dishes were fabulous. Will come here again.
PS: eat fish, it's very good.

The menu is pretty big with lots of options. The food was good. Plenty of drink choices as well. The staff are friendly and good with kids. A good place to go for the family To and grab a good lunch.
