More than a restaurant and more than a homestay, the Thai Hai village is a working ethinic minority community located just outside of Thai Nguyen City, Vietnam. The restaurant specializes in delicious dishes of the Tay and Nung ethnic minority groups which are prepared from livestock and vegetables raised organically on the village farms. Visitors have the opportunity to not only enjoy the food, but to learn about traditional Tay life first hand. Guests can go out into the fields with the workers to see how the various plants are cultivated (including tea trees) and watch in the preparation of various foods. Visitors wanting a deeper experience are invited to stay for 1 or more nights in a Nha San – Tay traditional houses – some of which are over 70 years old. While the housing is traditional, it has been equipped with fans, lighting, etc. and clean bathrooms. The homestay is appropriate for individuals, small groups, or families looking for a rustic getway and visitors have the option of keeping to themselves or spending time out among the staff and workers.
FANTASTIC!!
This village and restaurant has been developed with proper attention being paid to the ancient traditions of the Tay People. There have been some necessary modifications to infrastructure to accommodate modern sanitary and comfort requirements but basically, it is traditional. My wife and I ate at this restaurant many time over a three week stay in Vietnam and can vouch for the quality and fabulous (and diverse) taste you will experience. For someone who just loves food or the "experienced foodie" this experience is a MUST DO if you are anywhere near Hanoi.
The people are friendly, the staff are attentive, your comfort and a rewarding experience is clearly a priority.
Being in the food industry in Australia I am just amazed at the number of people who go to this restaurant/village as it is truly what I would term a destination restaurant, definitely not one you will decide to go to because you pass it on the street. Word of mouth advertising seems to be the major customer magnet here so the 'great experience' must be pretty universal.
you can choose to spend just a couple of hours having a meal or by prior arrangement have a more extensive tour of the whole village and farms. You can even arrange to stay over if you don't mind experiencing some of the more traditional vietnamese (Tay) culture.
All in all a great place to spend a few hours.

Hai Cang Restaurants have VIP private rooms, dishes are delicious and gourmet. The view is incredible, I can see Hoan kiem Lake and Long bien bridge, so beautiful place. It not only has Chinese food, also has lots of Vietnamese food like spring rolls 'nem', pho,... I really love fish dish, so fresh and tasty.

Hidden at the inside of a slip road, a huge restaurant which is highly popular among the locals. They rear their own chicken and comes fresh to the kitchen everyday. Here, you can order Chicken cooked in many styles. Fried, steam, stir fried, etc.

Fourth floor before security.
Staff were surly and really out of character for Vietnamese people generally.
Saw the biggest rat I've ever seen run out from under a chair in the main restaurant. Realised there were rat droppings on the floor beneath the tables.
Pretty horrendous really. Would give no stars if it was an option.

A coffee shop for all travelers and backpackers, inbound or outbound. We have info and exp about all route in Vietnam, hope we can help you.
We stopped here to get a coffee/tea, we had an hour till the start of the puppet show. Since the show was next to the cafe it was a real convenience. The coffee was great and an absolute must when visiting Hanoi.
The tea, hot and cold, was great too

I recently arrived at the Noi Bai airport and to my pleasant surprise, there was a Popeye's Chicken joint just ahead...being an American expat living in SE Asia for almost four years, I was delighted to have some actual fried chicken and Popeye's is the best, I quickly ordered a five piece chix strip combo with Cajun fries and a biscuit, went to my hotel and wolfed it down.

It is one of the few "western" restaurants in Thai Nguyen. The food is nice, but also very expensive. If you want a steak with french fries you will get it for about 180k Dong, but be aware that includes a small piece of meat and 5(!) french fries! I was a little disappointed and changed back to street food, as the street food is everywhere in Vietnam amazing!

GoGi house brings customers to peaceful lanes with its paradise of Korean popular barbeque beef. The food will be served on fire and without smoke. There is a variety of beef types there. Some other Korean authentic food which should not be missed are cold noodle, kimchi soup and hotpot...
I love grill beef there but the mixed rice was bad, too hot but nothing inside except carrot Too much spring onions in my cake that I can't eat Staff should be more attentive to guests and be active to recommend guests!
CAT Pizza is the best fastfood restaurant at Soc Son District, Ha Noi. We have many fast foods and drinks such as pizza, spaghetti, fried chicken, fried sweet potato, salad, drinks,... Staffs of CAT are very kind and friendly. We would bring you the best satisfaction.
