CORNER STEAK HOUSE The best choice for steak restaurant.
Order Boston lobster and medium done Angus steak. The lobster is very fresh. Good to be eaten by itself or with their prepared cheese source. The steak was tender and goes well with the rose sea salt. Generally the price well is reasonable considering the...More感謝您的光臨,對我們來說,顧客的認同就是對Corner Steak House(轉角餐廳)最高的肯定與鼓勵,讓我們能夠更有自信地持續為顧客提供一流的服務與餐飲,在此期待您的下次蒞臨! Many thanks for your appreciation. The price is a little bit expensive but the beef hot pot is definitely the best in Tainan city. They offer four different kinds of beef and each of them provides very different flavor.
The owner of the restaurant would stand by your desk and watch if you cook the beef properly. Sometimes it's annoying.
There is a free parking lot nearby the restaurant. We will come here again.
The beef hot pot here is very good. You may have to wait for 30-60 mins during dinner time.

If you are in Tainan you have to go here. For just over $1000 dollars you get the most incredible 6 courses and drink. I had the amuse bouche, french onion soup, the beef salad, fillet steak, lemon sorbet, the passion fruit and chocolate pudding and the pineapple smoothie and they were all amazing. The staff were so lovely and the service was impeccable. One of the best meals I have ever eaten.

I did a day long self guided walking tour of Anping and finished at Jianshi Park. Just east of the park on Anping I noticed a line going into a restaurant so I tried it and was served beef soup. It was excellent! The staff spoke limited English but they were happy to help me. When I got back to the hotel and showed them the pictures of where I ate they laughed and said this is favorite of locals and this is considered a Tainan specialty! And it clean and inexpensive.

Those who say this is the best in Tainan have not been to many places in Tainan, I would imagine. The service was OK, the food below par, and the prices make this a poor value. There are much better places to go, including the step-cousin restaurant to this one, 炭比里多.

Popular local breakfast place. This tasty salted congee is flavored with fresh ingredients like mackerel and milk fish (local delicacy) with crispy garlic. Porridge is not like the creamy, thick and mushy grains type. It's firmer and soupy, more like a traditional TeoChew porridge. I will definitely recommend you to try it out.

We were supposed to go to Taiwanese restaurant recommended by the hotel...
After checking around in the same area, we decided to come to this teppanyaki restaurant, one of the top ranking restaurant at trip advisor! Basically is set menu with quite a lot of choices each cause specially on the main! I chose seafood for the main and it came with one whole fish, prawn and 2 oysters... With totally 5-6 courses... We were very satisfied and the bill was not expansive at all!!

They have a large variety of food. The food is decent quality and is fresh. It is hard to find parking so take a taxi over there.

It's a single set meal with 5 courses but it was done very well and with a skill and nuance that was surprising in the small city that's Tainan. Very much enjoyed every course especially the starter kettle soup, the white fish salad and the rice dish with chicken soup. Great service too - the front desk lady very helpfully called us a cab as it was late.
