Ate here as a group of 4. Opted for the seven course surprise menu. Four fish, two meat and desert with lots of little treats in between. Wine list very reasonable. At €100 not cheap but well worth it for a special occasion. In particular the seabass and quail were to die for. And the pre desert was amazing. There were also seven different breads on offer.

Located in the historic center of Sirmione, Ristorante il Girasole has a large dining room (for non-smokiners) and a partly covered Terrace surrounded by flowers and plants, which overlooks the picturesque Via Vittorio Emanuele . It is an ideal restaurant for a romantic candlelight dinner or to spend time with your friends, in an "out of time" atmosphere that Sirmione has to offer in every seasons. The dining room is air conditioned and can hold 60 persons; the Terrace 40 people. The cuisine is creative and national. Pride and a sign of distinction is the wine cellar, which offers about 450 different local wines (Garda and Franciacorta), national and international .

During our recent 2 week break in Sirmione as part of celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary we ate in this restaurant twice.
The food is of the highest quality. Service was excellent and the staff lovely.
I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants the best of everything.

A good restaurant with some nice touches (complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival, amuse bouche ). Food itself was very good, portions a bit on the small side. Waiting staff were somewhat inattentive...unless it seemed you were one of a select few of 'preferred' customers, when the approach was that they couldn't do enough for you.

Trattoria Clementina is a very nice restaurant that has just a handful of tables and is definitely not a tourist trap.
We wanted to have a light dinner after having aperitivos and ordered 2 primos and a bottle of white wine. The house wine was very good and our pastas were excellent.
The only negative is that the room was uncomfortably warm.

Wow! We weren't disappointed! This was the best dining experience we had in lake garda. It isnt cheap, we paid around £140 for two meals (main courses), sides and wine but worth every penny. You receive a little amuse bouch/appetizer and the most amazing petite fours free of charge, the service is spot on, professional yet unobtrusive. I would 100% recommend this restaurant, just on the square nr the boat port.

Happened upon this lovely place after not being able to drive into town, the walk was long but pleasant, the food even better.
Kept it simple with Seafood Linguini, which was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. A nice Lugano, good espresso and a wonderful view enhanced the meal.
Great staff too.

We visited here 4 times during our trip. The welcome and service we received were excellent. We took our two boys with us and Paulo was happy to advise them on their food and they enjoyed the lollipops at the end.
The tortellini with black truffles is highly recommended!

We dropped into this place after touring the castle not knowing the high rating and what a nice surprise. Four different dishes, each and everyone delicious. The service was fantastic and the interior so clever and nice, it's amazing what can be done with little space.

What I must stress from the outset is that the service and welcome at this restaurant were wonderful. The staff were polite, attentive and cared whether you liked the food. That's the reason for awarding a three. It would otherwise have merited a lower rating. The location is a LONG way from Sirmione old town. An hour's walk in the heat on the day we went. Not knowing Japanese cuisine, we ordered the taster menu. It was far too much food and most was bland, in particular the sushi and sashimi which had no flavour whatsoever. The amount of food, along with its mediocre quality, meant that we were dreading the later courses. It also came too quickly, allowing little time to catch your breath. One further negative was the chef smoking right outside the front door of the restaurant. I feel guilty writing this, so lovely were the staff, but I couldn't honestly recommend this restaurant.
