IThe Strasserwirt is a very tradtiional hotel in a historic buidling, which dates back to 6 century. The rooms are comfortable and with modern facilities. The food was amazing and enhanced by the atmosphere of the traditionl dining rooms, called "Stube". The Strasserwirt is amazing and great for ski Safaris in the Austrian Osttirol and Italian South Tirol. Fantastic for snow shoeing as well as sktouring.

We hiked for seemingly hours (ok, maybe only an hour) until we reached the Jagerhutte. Wow. Such a nice venue and our waitress was so nice (and cute)

I was there on March 8, with two friends. Booking is necessarey, as it is e very popular place and there is o very good reason for that. First: the food: well prepared, cured and genuine. Just tastes great. An excellent selection of local, traditional specialities with a contemporary and personal touch of the Chief. Second: the atmosphere and the service. You meet the owner personally - she is taking care of the guests alone with another waitress and she is doing extremely good job. You feel taken care of, with a good advice on food and wine selection, sense of humor and incredible speed ! The first course shows on you table almost as quickly as in Manhattan restaurants, during the lunch break ;-) And still - no sense of rush, just a good organization and the commitment of the entire team. Highly recommended !

We have passed in front of this cafè a few days before to read the positive reviews on TA. The place is on a very tranquill road at Moos, one mile away from Sexten, but signed only by a wooden banner readable only in one single direction. Location is very pretty with very nice view facing mountain Croda Rossa. We had one apple/fresh cheese cake and one buchweizen cake with cream: both cakes were done at perfection, very well presented and our young waitress (grandchild of the owner) was so cute. An excellent recommendation, thank you to all TA reviewers.

So far I took two meals: a pizza and a typical one. Both were really, really good. The service is all good also, a very kind and helpful crew. The price is absolutely fair also. I certainly recommend the Mondschein ;)

The pizza is fine. You are in Italy, they won't mess up the pizza. but the waiter was a piece of work. he brought pizza for the kids uncut and we asked if he could slice. he quite literally groaned and looked at the ceiling. Her returned ten minutes later (we timed it) with a pizza cutter and then never returned to our table again. We had to get up and chase him for the bill and then he tried that famous European line "the credit card machine is broken" . Now you get this lie in Europe all the time but on top of the rest of his performance, it was just too much.

We have booked this restaurant during our month of holidays on Alps. Location is very nice with dining rooms very well decorated in typical Tyrolian style. There is also a Terrace, a small wellkept garden and a winter garden. We decided for dining indoor. Menu has a very good offer of traditional recipes, fish preparations inclusive. First disappointment was the wine list: simply not exhisting with an offer of few kinds of bottles selected by cepage, but really no choice and no cellar. Service was a bit unprofessional: wine and water were delivered after first course was already served despite that we have requested in advance; cutlery was not promptly replaced, but we had to claim to get clean ones after the first course; table was not cleaned up before dessert service. We had as starter deer salami and porcini mushrooms with artichokes: unfortunately mushrooms and artichokes were served at refrigerator temperature (kitchen failure). One main course was grilled liver which was done at perfection together with exceptional tasty potatoes. Another main course was boiled veal meat with vegetable sauce, which was very good. Top of our meal was dessert: the best tiramisù ever, world class, exceptional and so good. All in all a good restaurant with high potential but in need of urgent actions for service and wine cellar. Price is correct, a bit more expensive than other local options.

Walked up the valley mid October after the first snows had fallen but some had melted and the road was clear for walking. Left the car at the last bus stop and walked just under 2 hours up to the hut. Some of the road was pretty steep but the trek was worth it. Once up there at the base of the mountain we had a wonderful view of the entire area. The stop in the hut was perfect. Wild soup was the best ever. Cheese spaetzle, and polenta with Bergkaese melted over it was just what we needed. Plus some hot chocolate to boot. All of this served promptly while sitting out looking over the valley. The stroll back down was that much easier having had a pleasant and perfect lunch. And the prices couldn't be beat either.

So here's the vibe--just spent better part of the morning cross-country skiing and needed lunch before the downhill fun starts. Feel like pizza and spaghetti con pomodoro? The real thing! Great, friendly service with zero attitude and very fair prices, too. On a previous trip we celebrated New Year's Eve--the charm & elegance factor was amazing and risotto with prawns and prosecco is truly hard to beat. Again, inviting and friendly from start to finish with great food. Perfect combo!

This place is simply magnificent. It's quite different from other mountain resort and restaurant run by CAI (Club Alpino Italiano). Service is very attentive, careful and friendly. Quality of their offer is very high, but first of all the breathtaking views are absolutely great. Hope to return soon.
