We loved this place at lunch enough that we returned for dinner. It commands a fantastic view of the maquis all the way down to the sea, and the food, while rustic, is spectacular. For lunch we had a torte with sanglier (wild boar) that was magically seasoned with herbes de maquis and a daily special of tarte with aubergine, tomatoes, and local cheese. Almost everyone seemed to be ordering the brochettes, cooked on a wood fire, so when we returned for dinner the next day, that's what we had. We were not disappointed. Desserts are delightful. Worth a detour -twice!

This is a French restaurant right in the old centre of Sartene. The garden where you eat is part of the defensive wall, hence very picturesque.
Local French menu, all fresh and tasty without being overly fussy.
Worth a visit if you are planning a trip to this beautiful town.

Right on the beach in the village of Tizzano, this is a delightful location and a friendly restaurant which serves good fresh fish and seafood. Our first experience of it was as the location for a wedding reception, when we took over the whole place. This was perhaps not typical, but we ate there the following two nights and it was good. A little expensive perhaps, but while worth it for the location.

Average that is ... The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is on a road leading up to the main square and looks like a small, worn down place. However, it seats most people outside on the other side of the road. The food was OK, but nothing spectacular. I don't see what all the fuss on TripAdvisor is all about ...

Firstly, this hotel/restaurant isn't in Sartene. Its over 20kms away in Campomoro. Lovely place to stay if you want a quiet, beach location (not July or August of course). Not much English spoken though. I don't think they had many English guests but I believe the hotel is now available through Headwater Holidays? Rooms are pretty basic especially ground floor rooms but food is wonderful. At 50 euros per head for room + breakfast + evening meal, you can't go wrong. Beatrice has run (owned?) hotel since I first went there back in 1997 and she's still there now, overseeing the hotel and the restaurant. There's not a lot in Campomoro except a beach, dive school, a few small hotels, some campsites, beach bars and a beach. Oh, there's the Genoese Watchtower at the end of the peninsula which has fab views out to the ocean and back to the Valinco Gulf. You can fall out of your hotel room in a swimsuit and flip-flops and you'll be on the beach in 3 minutes flat. The place is about 25 mins along the coast road (D121) 'til you get to the main road to Propriano or Sartene or you can take the more ropey D21 which is quite exciting. I've travelled all over our world and Campomoro and Le Ressac is my favourite place in all the world but shhh, don't tell anyone.

We ate here twice such was our enjoyment of this great little restaurant. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. We ate fine starters of tomatoes and mozzarella, and my wife has sword fish and I had veal on a skewer. Both meals were very tasty, and combined with a great atmosphere we decided to return on our last night. That experience was the equal of our first night in terms of our enjoyment. The Restaurant le Golf has a splendid view onto the water, it is popular with locals which is always a good sign, the food is tasty and the service excellent. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

One of two restaurants in this out of the way place at the end of the road (literally). Great food and service and views of the harbour.
We ate here on our recent visit to Tizzano. Having read the reviews, we had perhaps high expectations. Unfortunately, on balance while the staff were pleasant and welcoming, the experience was mixed in terms of the food quality. I ordered steak, and my wife ordered fish. She liked the notion of ordering fish by weight, but the selection was restricted to just one fish (sea bream). Disappointed not to have a better choice she nevertheless picked it. I selected a steak. Now my food experience was actually good, an enormous grilled and juicy steak arrived, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife's experience was not so good, as the fish that arrived had been overcooked to the point of mummification. It was edible but just. We perhaps should have said something at the time, but having just arrived and being tired, we wished to avoid any fuss and we let it go. Still it was so badly prepared that the chef should have noticed it, and as it was being paid for by the weight (something that we have learnt now to avoid), it was expensive too. Dessert was decent, a pancake cake which we bought enjoyed. So a mixed experience, perhaps a once-off in terms of the fish, who knows, but in terms of restaurants our experiences of those nearby on other nights were far better, and when returning it will be to those that we go.

The restaurant, with its rustic menu, serves a local cuisine with the vegetables from the garden, our veal and of course the estate's wines. Open between June and September. !! The restaurant closes October 2nd 2016 and reopen June 1st 2017 !!
We found this place while exploring Corsica for the day and what a super find it was. This is a camp site, farm, vineyard and a cute french lunch spot. Primarily I was stopping for the wine which is all biological and produced on site along with other products such as honey, herbs and jams.
We ate the lunch special of beef and potato rosti, the beef was delicious and the waitress confirmed it was from one of the cows from the farm. The rosti was also delicious and served with a light gravy and some bread. Simple food and top quality ingrediants, french cooking at its best.
As we were flying I could only take 2 bottles of wine but if you have room in the car then this is worth a visit to stock up on wines you simply wont find in a store. You can tastes the wines here so you know exactly what you are getting.
One other point to mention is the staff were lovely, neither one of us spoke much French but they went and found someone who could so we were able to understand the menus and specials of the day. Excellent service and very much appreciated.

Very bad service - had a waiter who acted as if he was God...
After ordering our drinks (coke zero and schweppes agrum), the waiter came back to tell us we had to make other choices because the requested drinks weren't available - which we did.
To eat we ordered 2 differrent salads - again after more than 5 minutes the waiter returned to tell one of the salads wasn't available. Then he growled at me I shouldn't be annoyed about it and just make another choice - which I did. More than 15 minutes later (just one other table was occupied and they had dessert when we arrived) the salad I ordered arrived without the expected chicken meat. At first we didn't complain about it - as we assumed it coud be beneath the vegetables, but at the end we did tell him the and got the reply... "According to me there was chicken meat, but it's seems not to be your lucky day" - leaving us no other choice than to pay full amount for a small dish of greens...
