Santa Cristina d'Aro (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsantə kɾisˈtinə ˈðaɾu]) is a small town in the Aro valley (Baix Empordà region) at the junction of the road from Girona/Barcelona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Palamós. It is home to a number of workers in the nearby holiday resorts. The Costa Brava golf course is on the outskirts of the town.

Went to Els Tinars with great anticipation and left disappointing. The food was good but not great. Of everything, the vegetables we had were the best. They tuna tartar was elegantly presented but of average taste. The vegetable and fruit salad was very good. The barbecued beef was tough and grissly. The dessert souffle was good. The restaurant's ambiance is BRIGHT, as in bring your sunglasses. The wait staff are professional but NEVER smile and seem to be trained to not make eye contact with the guests. What was most interesting was my wife was served an incorrect appetizer to which we brought to the attention of our waiter. He disagreed and when we explained my wife was a vegetarian and would not have ordered cod salad, he begrudgingly took the plate and outed the rest of the evening. Even more it seems the head waiter removed him from all table service for the evening. Our waiter just walked around sulking. The restaurant does not deserve a Michelin star

There are places that take us back to our childhood: summer evenings, picnics by the spring, your first bike... La Font Picant is one of those places. An antique restaurant in an old railway station, a meeting point for the people of Sant Feliu, Santa Cristina... A beautiful little corner with plenty of heart. With this simplicity of form we offer a selection of meats, grilled or spit-roasted over a wood fire. We use only 100% natural products, cooked on charcoal from les Gavarres, obtained by natural means. We have chosen to pursue a policy of respect for the environment and local sustainability.
Really nice setting, in an old railway station. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was all freshly made and with fresh ingredients and nice flavours. We had the leg of pork and it was cooked perfectly. Kids burger was real meat and delicious (apparently)....whole experience was very pleasant. Would rather pay more for a nicer evening than pay moderately for a poor experience but it was a tad expensive. 100 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids, 2 courses and drinks. 70-80 euro would have been about right.

This is one of the most picturesque places to have lunch with food to match. If you are in the area make sure you drop in and have a seat on the Terrace.

We visited this restaurant two years ago and being back in the area again this year it was a no-brainier to go back.
Again the weather was great and everyone was having lunch outside. The setting is lovely and it enhances the overall experience.
The food is wonderful - perfectly cooked & presented - and creative. Lots of Spanish flare, although the owners are Belgian I believe.
All the staff are so charming, personable and helpful.
But the food tops the lot.
We were presented with three amuse bouche as we looked through the menu.
These were a sweet potato bonbon, a pumpkin and white chocolate soup and a celeriac panna cotta with caviar.
What a start !
Our starters were equally impressive -
Homemade fois gras with nut & fruit brioche, roquefort terrine stuffed with hazelnuts and dried plums, and an amazing veal carpaccio with goose liver and truffle oil.
Mains were no less brilliant with veal kidneys with mustard, wild boar and duck served with duck liver & apple.
Desert also impressed with strawberry soup with bergamot ice-cream topping our choices.
All of this in a beautiful location and great Spanish wines. I don't think any of us could think of how Can Roquet could be improved.

Placed in the old town of Sant Feliu de Guixols, the restaurant Ca l'Isern is an eminently familiar setting. Currently run by the third generation of the family, Enric and Elena, facilities welcome you with an essentially traditional. In their kitchens are made specialties such as grilled meat dishes and one hundred percent home among which the "rostit de l'Avia" and "xai al forn brao of." On weekends, special dishes are prepared with the touch of the chef of the house to enjoy your palate of the most emblematic recipes of Catalonia.Just 200 meters from the beach this restaurant is the ideal place to get away and enjoy the Costa Brava and its charms in the company of your family. Do not miss it.
We visit Sant Feliu regularly for short holidays because if its proximity to Gerona airport and regularly eat here. The set menu is full of choice and because most of the meat (and fish) is cooked over an open fire the flavour is always fantastic....MoreThank you very much for your review and recommendation. We are glad that you like our restaurant and you are visiting us often. Thank you very much, see you next!

The quality of the food is very good: we ate two dishes of pasta (both very nice) and meat, which was delicious. The staff are very nice, friendly and attentive. Worth trying.

Having spent time at the fun fair with 3 year old grandaughter, Feliu was just across the road and the obvious choice for dinner for four of us. Even at 7.30 on a Monday it was busy and within an hour it was full. Restaurants in this part of Spain serve minimal vegetables with main courses so we ordered grilled vegetables from the Starter section to be served with the mains. This was a great idea.
We have been here in past years and are never disappointed with the food and value. It is very child-friendly the owner keeps a watchful eye on all proceedings.
Another successful visit and we'll be back.

El Refugi Restaurant, one of the most special places on the Costa Brava.Un espacio único en Romanyà de la Selva donde disfrutar de momentos inolvidables rodeados de naturaleza y probar nuestra cocina de autor influenciada por la cocina francesa con el estilo propio que nos caracteriza.
Was recommended to come here by friends, but I really didn't like it at all. Flies buzzing around the table, in spite of the mesh at the windows, leftover Christmas decorations around the restaurant and some members of staff looked very scruffy. The ambience just wasn't there. My lobster risotto was pre-prepared and not even warmed through properly and with only one small lobster claw. It was a huge disappointment. The panoramic view is worthwhile and the entrance to the restaurant is lovely, but the whole place needs a complete shake-up so they can deliver something really great in a brilliant location.
