We joined a tour to visit San Sebastian town and lunch was part of the package. Our guide Jorge brought us there after a well briefed description of the food we would be served. The interior was rustic and clean. There was an open kitchen with two young ladies busy preparing food.
We were seated together in a long table as we were in a group of 8. Two jars of marooned colored juices were brought to our table and one sip of of it, I realised it was ROSELLA juice extracts. Rosella plants are a relative to the ornamental hibiscus, although the rosella flowers aren’t near as pretty. It is rich in Vitamin C! A local lady who sat with my hubby and I drank the juice but the others gave it a pass and ordered bottles of beer.
We were served a piece of soft warm Cheese Tortilla as starter. Then the servers brought beans, flavored rice and Mochaca in serving bowls to be shared. While enjoying these tasty dishes, one male server brought a dish of Chicken Mole and served us a piece each drippled with the best Mole sauce we had ever tasted.
A terrific meal indeed and one of the very best!!!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The owner welcomed us as if we were her own house guests. We shared several dishes including pizza and pasta. The owner also took us on a little tour of her garden and pointed out the special plants and names of some of the varieties of orchids and other beautiful blooming plants.

There is really good food in Puerto Vallarta, but getting out of town to this old Mining town was an experience not to be missed, There seemed to be a couple of good Mexican restaurants, but we were told about this place, and it is incredibly good. Home made pasta, fresh Italian dishes that were as good or better than the best I had in Rome, also homemade Limoncello, orange and herb liquor. Beautiful garden setting as well.

Location was nice as it overlooked the town square and common. Service was fine. We ordered a couple of different chicken dishes with rice and sauces. Both were good but needed a generous amount of hot sauce to perk it up. Chicken was obviously precooked but it was tender and moist.

El Fortin, located in the center of town, was open and bustling with people so we decided to give it a try. Had some wine, chicken curry, and the brownie. The food was very good, and service was great as well. Also bought a few things from the gift shop. Would recommend to visitors of San Sebastian.

While exploring San Sebastian, we walked by El Galletero Magico and peeked in the doorway. "Come in! Come in!" beckoned Mo, "Come see and taste!" and we did :) Cookies, pastries filled with fruit and nutella and coffee! We purchased pastries for our breakfast and then came back the next day for more plus pizza for lunch. Fantastic pizza with pepperoni, chorizo, ham, bacon and pineapple. We brought back a bottle wine while the pizzas were cooking and then we enjoyed our fabulous meal while watching Mo prepare baguettes and his children play. He obviously enjoys what he does and is so good at it. Go and see Mo! You won't be sorry.

My husband and I were recommended to come here after speaking to a local person in a shop in San Sebastián.
Turn right after the church and it's situated at the bottom left.
We had a lovely traditional Mexican meal.
Served promptly, hot, fresh and really tasty.
Great service from the staff.
I'd recommend if you want a real taste of Mexico cooked by a traditional Mexican family!
Enjoy!!!

Everything about this restaurant is idyllic. The setting overlooking the Mountains is complemented by the beautiful garden and Terrace. Even the bathrooms are worth visiting.
Service is attentive since you enter the property. The food is simply spectacular. The fondue, the ribs, and the spatzale were phenomenal. Even the fries and house salad were excellent. Kudos to the whole staff. We will be back and recommend this place to all our friends.
MI GENERAL Steak & Burguers, he offers you; delicious hamburgers and fine cuts in San Sebastian del Oeste, excellent quality Angus beef. The dishes are made with charcoal and at the moment, thus giving a great flavor, which delights all your guests. The restaurant MI GENERAL, is located in the highest parts of San Sebastian del Oeste, having as such, a beautiful 360 degree view of the whole town,
After a long hike up the Cerro de la bufa we were in the mood for some good food! We were pleasantly surprised by Mi General, the view was beautiful, especially during sunset, the light on the Mountains was amazing! We ordered the Porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection! Very happy and full customers.
