Our Restaurant is situated in the historical center of San Candido Alta Pusteria, next to the Collegiate church and the Hl.Michael Parish Church San Candido. Enjoy South Tyrolean specialties, international and mediterranean dishes in on of our Tyrolean "Stube" or in our sunny garden.

Really wanted to like this place. Located right next to the church in town. Had read about the venison they served, but they were out. Pumpkin soup was nice but without anything special. Steaks by two in our crowd ordered medium were served bloody. Kastanien Spaetzle was nice but again a mass without any thing to remember it. Beef goulash was cold, tough but the dumpling with it was actually really good. Careful. Guido.bz page lead us to think they took AMEX which they don't. Was ok and average.

The Enzianhütte is located in Wahlen (Saint Silvester Valley, in Italian) just north of Toblach (in Italian: Dobbiaco).
It’s a very nice location, nestled in a very pretty side valley.
Very professional and efficient waitresses, good food… but definitely expensive: 35 euros for a “simplified Brettljause (typical tyrolean afternoon snack), two wieners with sauerkraut, a glass of Hefe Weizen Bier and a little bottle of water.

First we were seated in a sauna-like conservatory. Then, after we ordered 2 x 2 dishes, we got 3 at once, and the young waitress was very surprised that we didn't like that! Then she threw a bottle of water over the table next to us, while my 4th dish was waiting at the kitchen exit. So it was quite overcooked when I got it, while the other dishes didn't taste so well either. Perhaps, we should have ordered a take out pizza ;-(

Nice Italian/tiroler restaurant, friendly and trained staff, nice ambience. Menu with both tiroler and Italian choices, good selection of mainly local wines. Had a nice Pinot Grigio from Elena Walch. Very friendly en good service. Pizza was good! Prices are good, especially considering the quality.

Rifugio Gigante Baranci

Reviewed By Mywayforholidays - North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

We walked there from Innerfeld and we had to go back by cable car because of the storming weather. Location is very beautiful but the place is more similar to a huge fast food than to a typical mountain restaurant. The outdoor service is only for drinks, coffee and cake. Restaurant is a self service with poor offer and poor quality. Food was very miserable. Sausages and potatoes salad were like in motorway/airport mediocre restaurants as well as an escalope with onion sauce and kraut salad. Service was absent and when a large sun umbrella (about 260 sq.ft ) was blowed by the wind none of the staff was ready to help guests. It's not expensive but I would prefer to pay more and to be delivered proper food and service. There are many other better places around. We do not recommend.
