La Marmotte The specialty restaurant on the 1st floor of the Alp Trida offers top quality cuisine - "gluten- and lactose-free" if you wish. Weather permitting, you can enjoy all that on our 2 sun terraces. - Of course we have a gluten and lactose free menu in La Marmotte. - Enjoy your food on the 2 sun terraces.
Stopped here for lunch 2 days.
First we looked in the downstairs self service place to see a horrendous queue. A quick look at the menu for the upstairs table service restaurant showed that the prices were not greatly different, so up we went. There is a choice of 2 outdoor terraces or a spacious, light and airy interior.
Menu choices range from light meals (eg soup) to more substantial meals. Pleasant staff, good service and great views, all in a civilised environment.

Just another low class, basic "mountain" style restaurant with unfriendly service and overpriced menu. We skipped the meals, as it didn't look appealing. Ordered some water (9chf !!!!!) and a house wine, which was undrinkable. Never again.

Regional specialities, oven pizza and pasta from an Italian pizzaiolo, or a classic steak. The "La Pasta" restaurant offers something for any taste. Here you choose from a selection of fresh fish, meat, regional specialities and Italian dishes. The house patisserie offers pies and cakes. Be it at lunch, for a romantic dinner or a snack in-between, we are looking forward to spoiling you from 11.30 A.M. To 10 p.M. In the show kitchen you can observe our pizza and pasta cooks while they are preparing your dish.
We had a lunch at La Pasta restaurant, it was so good we returned the day after. The food (osso buco, pasta with salmon, cordon bleu and pasta with creamy mushroom sauce, plus deserts) we had was delicious, the wine list extensive and has lots to offer. The service is attentive, nothing was a trouble, and we were treated with a smile! Our waitress -- Magi, did a wonderful job. All in all, absolutely enjoyable lunch and we will return to try some other dishes once in Samnaun.

Visited during my skiing in resort. Food was OK, typical Tex-Mex, nothing special. Expected more HOT than it was.

As the name suggests, the Alp Bella is the most beautiful location on the mountain. - Sun positioned and protected from the wind with a view of the Swiss and Italian Alps. - Our service restaurant with original Swiss Alp ambience of the 19th century, is known for the best BBQ chicken in the ski region. - With our great sun Terrace, two self-service areas - indoors and outdoors - we offer you plenty of room, even with a huge influx of visitors. HINT: Chicken barbecue and Rösti specialtie
Known as the Chicken Farm due to the outdoor barbecue area, chicken featurse highly on the menu. Being within the Samnaun area, Alp Bella is cheaper than restaurants of the Austrian side, with a half a chicken served with salad and bread being only 10 Euros. Although there si also chicken soup, home made goujons etc, the restaurant also serves traditional alpine dishes, and a variety of tasty soups.
There are various options of self service, table service, indoor and outdoor. Hard to do better.

We got to Samnaun for a quick tour of shopping. Being a workday and because of the very few people we decided to have dinner at des alpes hotel restaurant.
The ambience is pretty classique and the staff try to be extremely polite even if at the beginning they could appear a little bit not interested.
We opted for a three course menu and we have been totally satisfied.
The consomme' and the salad were tasty. The main course definitely over par (almost a gourmet dish), sided with a phenomenal roesti.
Superb the dessert.
Price for the 3 course menu is very good. If want to eat a La carte it can get more expensive.

Typical Swiss cuisine in a cosy atmosphere - a must during any stay in Samnaun In the "La Grotta" Fondue & Raclette Restaurant you can prepare many dishes yourself at the table. The cheese fondue with a special cheese mix or the steak and the prawns served on a hot stone guarantee for a rustic, social dinner, where you will never get bored. The original Wallis Raclette a la Discretion is shaved from a huge cheese wheel directly in the restaurant. And you can choose from more than 100 different wines from the best national wineries or 900 wines from the rest of the world. Open during the winter season
This could be a sweet little restaurant but actually comes across as somewhat austere. The fondues are limited but though the verdict at our table was a little mixed, I thought it was good if far from outstanding. Overall perfectly pleasant but not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit.

Skiing to Samnaun from Ischgl is great, knowing a great lunch place in Samnaun even better and this is the place to go. The service, the food and the ambience is terrific and the Kaiserschmarrn is outstanding.

The restaurant is definitely upper market compared with the other restaurants in Samnaun. However the quality of the food does not leave any points of critics; hence is extremely well (and skillful) cooked. The menu list is not very extensive which normally ascertains a good quality of food. We were not disappointed at all! This restaurant can be highly recommended to guests who like "cuisine bourgoise"; hence straight forward, good quality and fresh dishes.
The wine list is respectable but not very low priced. Service is extremely attentive and very efficient.
