Enjoyed a very good lunch on the restaurant's covered Terrace overlooking the beach. I ordered the duck breast which was a good size and beautifully cooked. My friends had the dorade tagine and the beef which were also declared delicious. Chocolate ice cream dessert with whipped cream and sauce finished an enjoyable and relaxing meal.
The restaurant Terrace also has a swimming pool which is handy for children. Even though it was early September and therefore after the season, the restaurant was fairly busy, but the service was good.

We loved this place for a bob's breakfast every morning with great coffee and warm croissants. We also had a lovely relaxed lunch and chose the fantastic burgers and the best cheescake I have ever had. The situation next to the beach is perfect and it is just very cool! Book ahead for lunch. Perfect for kids with high chairs provided, very relaxed approach and good kids menu.

Great discovery.... this Restaurant is incredibly close to my favorite beach on the Cote Sauvage. Easy parking, easy access to beach and great food!!
We had a delicious home made soupe de poisson and excellent oysters to start followed by a divine fricassée of scallops in a champagne sauce, one garnished with crunchy (rare in France) seasonal vegetables and the other with a mushroom risotto.
We ended with a lemon sorbet and vodka delight and the most fabulous Moelleux au citron which just oozed out perfectly. All truly delicious and beautifully presented.
We also found a great Charentais white wine from Segonzac... very impressive.
Really looking forward to coming back again and don't hesitate to recommend.
It's a little bit pricey but worth it

Years after years we are back!
It's always a pleasure to dine at Les Agapes.
If I could take a sentence I found in a restaurant in Mykonos: "Great food is like great sex. The more you have the more you want".
Great restaurant. Food cooked to the perfection. Good wine list, well priced. The only minus: (if none, the review might be biased) the plastic chairs on the Terrace. But honestly, who cares? Everything else is perfect! See you next year!

This restaurant although not the cheapest in Palais sur Mer is in an ideal location close to the beach and a great place to eat on warm summers night. The sea food is great as are the salads. Nice Deserts if you still have room ! The service was good and staff very friendly and obliging.

This is not a restaurant, although they do offer European and English breakfasts. It's a lively bar with a choice of a plate of oysters, a platter of cold meats and/or cheeses and the obligatory range of ice cream desserts. Lovely place to sit and people watch and the food that they offer is excellent

One of the best creperies outside of Brittany - interesting fillings and all home made. Plus, very reasonable prices and charming staff

Beautiful location overlooking Baie de Nauzan, this restaurant appears to aspire to haute cuisine but manages to fail. The food quality is average and highly priced presumably attributable to the vista. Wine selection is comprehensive but also maximises cost and profit margin. Staff are efficient. The atmosphere and presentation suggests pretensions to Michelin star standard but much improvement would be required to achieve such objective.

So beautiful !

To break with the addresses "seaside", our gourmet enclave has chosen to set its decor in a quiet, just 2 minutes by car from the center of Pontaillac. The place is cozy, colorful and modern. Our Chef Bastien concocts a traveling card and always attached to the French terroir.

The restaurant puts its whole team at the service of your business events, associative evenings, ceremonies etc ... because it is also possible to privatize this unique place.

Another undeniable asset of the place: 13 rooms ** preserved from the agitation, 100 meters from the Beach of the Council and the Promenade des Douaniers.
Stayed for two nights, comfortable quiet room ,comfortable quiet bed, great powerful walk in monsoon shower, probably best shower expired in many years of travelling around France!!! Didn't eat there, to any places to choose from in Palaise sur Mare . Nice decked area with Seating.

We visited for a drink whilst on holiday. From outside, the impression is of a great bar and fooderie. We would have liked to have had lunch their but it was mainly a creperie and ice cream venue. Even some galettes/ sandwiches would be good.
