Expected so much, got little. Duck was lovely but beans were tasteless. Required a lot of seasoning. Mille feuille was profoundly tasteless. Chefs special? Dont think so. Service was charming but not worth the 30 euro per head. Most exciting thing......the sudden delightful deluge outside. The pizza place was filled. Get the impression this place is mediocre and its place on the fine dining list is unwarranted. Better places in St Gilles X.

I can't fault the welcome at this restaurant. Stefan the maitre d was extremely welcoming and made the visit very memorable. He couldn't have been nicer. My lobster was excellent. Beautiful pudding. We were given a lovely table in the window. Our child is a very fussy eater, but nothing was too much trouble. The chef inquired what our son would eat and made food accordingly. Love the loos. You can chalk messages on the wall. Deservedly in the Michelin guide.

A former farmhouse this friendly restaurant also hosts animals facing terrace: The other feature of Instead, his card: fresh produce from local producers. The dishes are cooked a la plancha with an example: foie gras and fig floored delights, duck breast , sea bass ...and as well blanquette of cuttlefish and Parmentier of duck. After a meal, take your children feed the animals. An original and authentic address to share with your partner, friends and especially with children.BOOKING ADVISE.
Had the most delicious lunch here one week ago, sadly on the last day of our holiday. If we'd come earlier during our stay we definitely would have visited more than once.
The food was beautifully presented, creative and utterly delicious. I know foie gras isn't to everyone's taste but if you're going to try it anywhere make sure it's here - it was simply the most scrumptious starter I've ever had!
The service was brilliant. I get the feeling we were being served by the owner as he was extremely knowledgable, as well as being friendly and great with our 3yo daughter. He brought out some stale bread for her to feed the animals and gathered them all for her. She was overjoyed!
Then the surrounds - a small farm with goats, chickens, ducks, ponies, donkey and some lovely little toys for kids. We sat on the small Terrace and could watch our daughter play and feed the animals, the Sunshine was beautiful, it was idyllic.
A perfect afternoon, thank you!

Busy bistro and really lovely fresh fish. Friendly and attentive staff. Oysters were simply and beautifully served. Turbot was beautifully cooked.
Presentation of mains was quite traditional - big buttery sauces and slightly overdone (to my taste) mixed veg.
The desert combo is an absolute belly buster but really tasty - would work well as a sharing platter.
Overall really nice food well done.

What a great lunch we had today! We arrived around 12:30 as the restaurant was just starting to fill up. We chose from the menu decouverte. Starters were delicious and beautifully presented. We both had the hake for mains and it was exceptional. For desserts my companion had tarte tatin and I chose the crime brûlée - both classics were really great. I cannot fault the meal, the service, the cleanliness of the loos (!) and the general ambiance. Good food very well prepared and good value. Would return without hesitation.

Went to Ose for a lunch towards the end of a 3 week stay near St. Gilles. Beautiful meal, with really interesting and unusual flavours. Highly recommended. Ose house cocktail was delicious, as was the Cafe Gourmand. Well work a special visit. Already looking forward to going back there next summer. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get.

I went to this place about 30 years ago and the owner changed since. There is a new decoration now since 2015. There's a good choice of home made pizzas and pasta. There is also meat if you prefer. The staff is very kind. The food is good. Always a good address if you want to spend a good time with family and/or firends.

From start to finish this restaurant was fantastic . The service , food and staff were great . Nothing was too much trouble even though people were waiting to be seated we were not rushed . Would definitely go again if we ever go to Saint Gilles .
