We had a very nice dinner at Europa. Scallops and haddock for main courses, seared tuna carpaccio and escargot for appetizers. A nice change of pace and well done. The service was very professional and we were greeted by the chef after dinner. We had the vanilla ice cream with warm, crushed raspberries on top for dessert. Delicious. A nice change from the general pub grub and grilled seafood that is more readily available. We will go back.

In the relaxed atmosphere of a former summer cottage you will enjoy a sumptuous breakfast buffet each morning. Enjoy in our atmospheric dining room or out on the garden Terrace under an umbrella. For lunch and dinner we invite you to try the acclaimed Kingsbrae Garden Cafe.
My son in law recently stayed at the Kingsbrae and he was so impressed with it he brought my daughter, their baby and myself there for breakfast one morning while we were visiting Saint Andrews.
This place called Kingsbrae is awe inspiring, a totally unexpected magical experience. Kingsbrae's surroundings are like something out of a story book. The Gardens are gorgeous, the buildings on site are packed full of character and charm. The space where we had our breakfast was literally dripping with historical treasures...paintings, ships, vases and a huge number of other artifacts too numerous to mention.
The entire experience was truly lovely. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted like we were family. The service was impeccable from start to finish and the food was unbelievably good! Everything was as fresh as it could possibly be, and the presentation was beautiful as well. Even the music was perfect for the setting.
I hope to one day return to Kingsbrae and hopefully even stay there. I'm so pleased we had this wonderful opportunity, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

We were on our way to St. Andrew and it was lunch time.....could have stayed there for dinner as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Order at the window and pick up your order at the adjacent window. No inside Seating.....picnic tables everywhere.
We ordered the "FISH BURGERS".....wouldn't you expect something like a hamburger but made with fish??? Well....you are wrong....so were we !!!! This was a large haddock filet, lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. WONDERFUL !!!!
Also got an order of deep fried mushrooms....VERY TASTY....also lightly breaded and seasoned....very flavorful.
So.....2 fish burgers and order of mushrooms (which was large) totaled$19.00....not a bad deal.
Regardless of the price, this may well have been our best lunch of our 25 day Atlantic Provinces trip.

We had a great seafood meal near the deck railing, enjoying the wonderful view out into the bay. Good attentive service, fresh seafood and cold local beer. If you want a table near the railing, beat the bus crowds to it. Get there early. Order the fish of the day, and wash it down with a Dooryard brew. It doesn't get any better.

Four of us ate here on a recommendation. The service was great and so was the seafood that we ordered. There was a big disappointment with the vegetables on our plates. The vegetables were all from frozen. The fries were not even real pieces of potato; but instead, formatted mush that was “created” somewhere else. The food here is not inexpensive. So why it is not real food? It is likely less expensive to prepare fresh vegetables and cut fresh potatoes for fries, AND it would be more satisfying than that stuff.
If this restaurant would serve fresh vegetables and real potato for fries, I would be happy to eat here again. Until then, I know places in St Andrews that do believe in fresh food and even more reasonable prices.

This charming small restaurant is perfect for its location and offers a lovely selection of items, reasonably priced, and carefully prepared. Beautifully presented.pasta dishes can be partnered with a choice of seafood or chicken and in generous quantity. The wine selection is more than adequate...MoreThank you so much for taking the time to write your review. We are happy to hear that you were pleased with your experience with us!

The visitors and locals are so lucky to have such a wonderful dining option in St. Andrews! I would be there weekly or more often. The ambience is quite wonderful. The servers are efficient and friendly. I rarely find my favorite vodka, Luksusova, but here it was! The menu is so exciting, making a choice was difficult. They are also very good with food sensitivities, too. Every single thing I had was delicious and I was also able to taste my dining partners' foods. I cannot wait to visit again. BTW I am told he uses only local produce/products. Lots of salmon. lobster and scallops - also veggies from their own Gardens.

Mondays are slow in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, NB. Many "downtown" businesses aren't open on Monday. We slept in that morning and wandered to the heart of the commercial district only to find that Lumberjack's stops serving breakfast at 10 am. It was only 10:15 so in we went because we couldn't find another restaurant open at that time that day. Turns out Lumberjack's is quite lenient on the "breakfast ends at 10 am" policy. The restaurant was full so we waited a couple of minutes before a table opened up. It was on the porch. What a treat to eat outdoors on that sunny and pleasant October morning. And our server said "Sure, you can still order breakfast!" And do we did. My husband had an egg Sandwich on a croissant and I had the Eggs Benedict. Both were very good. I see where Lumberjack's is known for its sticky buns but we didn't order one. It looks also like the bread is made there too! Very nice experience.

This cafe was a delight to discover. I enjoyed the Chai Latte and cheese scone. The service was excellent along with the lovely wooden table and chairs.
