We had heard from friends that this was a nice restaurant but nothing could have prepared us for the difference in walking into a Guesthouse restaurant and ending up in what was a Michelin Star experience. The staff were excellent and attentive, the food was out of this world and of a quality and freshness that I am not sure I have seen in my trips around the world. It is worth a trip to Roscommon if only to experience Jackson's and we will be planning another trip in the future.

Wow what a team excellent food served by excellent staff in an excellent location. From the moment you walk in here you will realise your in for a real treat.
Every course was packed with multiple flavours stemming from quality ingredients the Chef here has Star Quality and in my opinion is second to none in Ireland. Give this restaurant a try and you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to return here again.

The hotel was under going renovations while we were there but that didn't interfere with our stay in the least. Our room was bright and airy and spotlessly clean. There is a lovely lounge area with comfy chairs and sofas where you can sit back...MoreWE are delighted that your stay at the Abbey Hotel was a pleasent one and we hope you will return to visit us soon again.

Well kept, neat premises on the outside and quite welcoming inside. Manageress was a real people person and very helpful to patrons in the 16 seater restaurant downstairs. Good parking around the back, no WiFi connection while there.
The waitress needs to be trained on how to do the basics ie offering bread, replacing cutlery before serving food, serve milk in a clean jug preferably not in a cracked/chipped one and finally NEVER serve the T/C before the dessert unless requested. Nothing worse than sitting over a cuppa and no dessert served to enjoy with it. T/C gets stronger in the pot , goes cold in the cup etc.
Main course of hake was delicious and other mains served around us were delicious too-lambshank and burger. My main issue was with the price and size of the starter and dessert. The starter consisted of 5 slices of beetroot held together in a Sandwich type tower by 2 swirls of goats cheese. It was 2 mouthfuls! The chocolate parfait dessert consisted of 4 sugar cubed size parfait and brownie pieces with 2 walnut sized sorbets with one raspberry @ €7.90. I was so annoyed and felt really ripped off by the starter and dessert.
I would happily return for the main course of hake, it was fabulous. 100% delicious.
I hope my observations help.

Situated right in the heart of town in the Boyle shopping arcade Margaret’s café & restaurant is your first stop for freshly ground Bewley's coffee, a treat, a snack, tea and a chat. It’s a family run business providing that warm homely touch where you and your friends can feel at ease taking a break from work and shopping while enjoying wholesome food that tastes home cooked.
Glad we checked trip advisor for place to eat in Boyle. Not disappointed . Fast service and good food and presentation. No card machine though so had to run for cash to nearby garage. Still recommend this if your looking for nice lunch.

Having visited here before we discovered that there's a change of management but food still excellent and some non Italian dishes on menu also. Very attentive staff. One qualm from me, I have a penchant about this! Please please don't serve the coffee until after the desserts are served. That won't prevent me from retuning but I wanted to make the point. Good value for money too. For five of us the bill averaged at €20 each! Brought our own wine!

Busy spot with quality food. Had the fillet which was cooked perfectly how I wanted it (rare). Lovely wine choice had the Nero d'Italia (think black label) . Only downfall the Tiramisu but won't stop me from returning.

We visited this lovely cafe because the reviews seemed amazing and they were not wrong! We had a wonderful breakfast (definitely recommend the bacon and sausage roll :D ) and a great mug of tea (they also offer soya milk which is a HUGE bonus!) . Staff were lovely ad prices were great! Just wish I stayed for some of their gorgeous looking cake!

Went in prior to Christmas as had time to kill , the breakfast looked really appealing on the menu .... What arrived was nothing like described , menu stated bacon , sausages, pudding, eggs accompanied with " potato cakes" .... What arrived was eggs that had I can only assume had been cooked in the same fat as the pudding as the eggs were black and totally unappealing, sausages that had been tanning themselves under heat lamps all morning , accompanied by 3 large roast potatoes sprinkled with thyme! Roast potatoes aren't really appealing at 10.25am in the morning, when I queried the missing potato cakes , I was abruptly informed "we'd none! We gave you Roast potatoes instead!" Combined with dreadful tasting tea..... I left the breakfast , it was inedible.

Restaurant with the Irish food. Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner. Situated on the N5. The small family business.
Visited today. Reminds me of all that was wrong with restaurants in 80's Ireland. Stale damp smell, dusty furniture, plants dying for want of a drop of water, paintings hanging crooked on the wall. Waitress/ receptionist completely void of personality and very dour. Food obviously left over from Sunday lunch and reheated today. Child size portions passed off as adult ones. Cant really find anything to recommend this place and would have to advise anyone passing through Tulsk and thinking of stopping off for food to avoid The Friary at all costs.
