Not far from Seefeld lies Moesern, a small little town. Great to stay overnight while on a short langlauf trip.We ate here on a snowy Saturday evening. Highly recommend it! The restaurant has style and has a typical Austrian feel. Menu has a good variety of dishes; fish (forelle is great), meat (including a nice schnitzel) and vegi. The quality is excellent. Worth a visit.

Sweeten everyday life and enjoy the cosy, rural atmosphere in the rustic style of a traditional Tyrolean restaurant in the centre of Seefeld. Enjoy the different variations of local and Italian specialities that our chef prepares fresh for you!
We found this place by accident during a rather severe downpour. It had a nice atmosphere and so we decided to come back for a proper dinner later in the week.
Excellent food, well presented with very good service. The wine list wasn't at all bad either.
Happy to recommend this place. A fine selection of Italian and Austrian food is on offer.
One word of caution: if you want to avoid the young kids, book for after 8:00.

"Lecker" translated from German means yummy. My daughter-in-law kept repeating "lecker, lecker, lecker as we dug into a cheese & meat board après ski. The black gold mustard, the truffle cheese and the chèvre coated with cranberries were my particular favorites. My carnivorous family members devoured the meats. The waiter selected a very suitable local wine after plying me with questions about my wine preferences. Although weather outside was spectacular & the outside tables are in the sun past 2:00pm we were just as happy eating indoors in the warm, inviting decor.

As Kracherlemoos is not around the main square I am so glad my husband looked at trip advisor for a nice restaurant at Seefeld. It is a true 'hidden gem'. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and as it is totally rebuild from 2 old houses it has a real atmosphere. The food is excellent, Austrian with an international twist. We had goulash soup and salmon salad as a starter, fillet of beef from a real wood fire and the cheese platter as desert, it all tasted absolutely great! And what makes it a real hidden gem is the service. The owner, the waiter and the cook seem to like what they are doing: making customers happy! We will definitely be back :-).

I have just come back from Meilerhof after having dinner there and feel the need to report back to prevent others from being disappointed.
My wife and I are staying in Reith Bei Seefeld and there isn't an awful lot of choice of restaurants so we thought we'd give it a try as we both like a good steak which this place specialises in.
I looked at the menu a few days before as I was passing and it looked good with a decent choice of steaks etc but I don't speak German so couldn't work out the nitty gritty but at 26 Euro + plus for a steak I expected it to be something special.
First impressions are OK, it was too cold for the Terrace but we had a good window seat with a view.
Our order was taken quickly but while my wife's water came promptly, we had to remind them about my beer, first time that's ever happened in Austria/Germany!
When I read the English menu I realised it said the steaks came with baked potato, thinking this had to be more interesting that it sounded maybe due to translation, I didn't think much of it but lo and behold, there on the plate was a huge baked potato wrapped in foil with cream cheese inside just like I'd make if I couldn't be bothered to cook a proper meal at home (although for some reason there was a spoon stuck in it to make it look more glamorous - it failed).
The salad selection was pitiful, normally even in a supermarket there is so much choice that the bowl is too small but here I struggled to half fill it with things I like (and I love salad!).
My wife enjoyed her fillet steak while my rum steak was a bloodier than I'd have liked for a medium but I couldn't be bothered to argue, after all this might be the perfect Austria medium steak for all I know not being local.
I was tempted by the chocolate mousse but decided not to bother after all.
To add insult to injury we were also charged 1.80 Euro each Gedeck (cover charge) to make the total 63.10 Euro for just 2 mains and 2 drinks.
Last week we went to Gasthof Hirschen down the road in Leithen, it doesn't have a Panorama Terrace but from our experience the food is far better and ultimately that's what counts.

We stumbled upon Gasthof Hirschen on our way from Italy to Germany. We were hoping for a traditional Alpine atmosphere and comfort food and we found it! We enjoyed the cozy dining room while it snowed outside. The service was warm and attentive and the food was wonderful.

Austrian food served beautifully. A helpful staff. The restaurant is centrally located close to everything including the shops. It's not a place you would leave hungry. There are tables outside and you can sit and eat your meal and relax. Overhead the restaurant sme apartments have been added all well appointed for people who prefer living in the heart of the town

Welcome to Gasthof-Restaurant Dorfkrug! „Out and out Tyrolean hospitality“, we have dedicated ourselves to this philosophy since the year one. You should feel as snug as a bug in a rug at us. Therefore we have arranged our hotel – restaurant especially comfortable. You will anticipate a friendly and comfortable atmosphere in a typical Tyrolean style. Enjoy the homelike ambience with tenderly laid tables. And along with it, the honest hospitality, which comes from the bottom of our heart. Look forward to some wonderful hours with us.
Situated a little outside the main town you can either walk of take a taxi. A large restaurant, always busy, serving typical tyrolean choices with Bratwurst and suchlike in abundance. We were there for lunch so only tasted bar food but the interior restaurant looked equally appetizing. Good, fun atmosphere - this place really buzzes.
