The food here is really really good and original. The service is great, everyone tries to make you feel spacial. The Chef even goes to your table, recommends what to eat an explains the process, and he is involved in every step with everyone. We came here recommended by a Spanish friend when we where returning by car from Santiago de Compostela to Madrid, it's on route.
Loved it!

We visited this place for drinks one day - quite expensive but friendly service so we returned the next day for some wine and bar food. We noticed that we got smaller pours than the locals who were enjoying themselves and becoming quite rowdy. The last straw was the quality of food we were given, it was nothing but dried up left overs. If you want a good meal at affordable prices, don't come here, try Agape next door, but go early as it fills up very quickly.

We called in for a late evening drink and 'tapa' and were served high quality wines - the rosé was fabulous - and the tapas innovative, beautifully presented and delicious. The bill was very low so we returned for lunch the next day and had the 13,50€ menu. It was excellent throughout. Again, very tasty, well presented and amazing value. We recommend it highly.

Tipo de cocina . Tradicional, Creativa-de Autor
We had lunch at Lera, suggested and booked for us by our tour guide although we were staying elsewhere. The host, Alberto, prepared a superb 8 course degustation menu showcasing regional produce and translating traditional recipes into haute cuisine. His speciality is pigeon, from his own lofts (which came as our sixth course), while the intensity of flavour in the wild (we think) strawberries of our dessert was amazing. All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, the hospitality was excellent despite our reliance on Google Translate, and we'd happily stay over at Alberto's hotel just to dine from his menu again.

Restaurant closed for Holidays from 5 Jan 2017 untill 10 Feb 2017
If you're lucky you can be seated upstairs by the Terrace, with a good view to the river. Regarding the food, we were 3 people and we had pulpo, mollejas de ternera and revuelto de espárragos. The first 2 was good but nothing extraordinary. The third one it had alsi beacon which in my opinion does not go with that type of dishes. It takes all the flavour. Overall, it was good and the servers were nice too.

It´s located on a perfectly touristy spot, so the outcome was quite predictable. Yet the menu didn´t look bad so we gave it a shot. The staff was not very attentive, they were mainly focused on handling a queue of people waiting for a table (not very nice eating your lunch with a family standing behind your back and waiting for you to get out). I´ve had a fish that was bit too oily, salad was ok. Although there were three waitresses present, only one of them was handling the bills, so it took extra 30 mins to pay and finally empty the table for the people standing next to us. Overall – very busy place with average food.

This is a small "bar" restaurant with excellent tapas, but we loved the four choices we made for a full meal. The "zambariñas" (small grilled scallops) were exquisite, Spanish ham fantastic and super wine from Toro. We could not have asked for better or more delightful service. We'll return with the whole family.

This was just off the main Plaza Mayor and was just opening for the evening around 7.00pm. All the tapas is cooked fresh to order on a small hot plate sprinkled with oil - great selection and fresh as a daisy! Good local red wine and, best of all, a great rock-focussed sound track on the Bose system ranging from the Clash to Clapton, Lou Reed and everything in between. So much nicer being in a tapas bar with music instead of the ubiquitous two TV's trying to out-compete each other on two separate channels. We were the only 2 non-Spanish in the place and left well fed, well rested and well drunk!

Delicious, generous lunch overlooking the vineyard or the inside of the bodega.
Very good wine, some of my favourite from Toro. After eating you can have a guided visit of the bodega. The winemaker also speaks English. Very interesting, and worth the little bit if extra time.
Book a table for weekends as it can get busy.
You won't be hungry or thirsty after your visit, just make sure you're not the one driving home!
