Terrace of rare natural beauty of the city of Trento , Locanda Margon is born by the will of the family Lunelli , owner of Cantine Ferrari , as a place of excellence and experimentation for innovative combinations with bubbles . It takes its name from the nearby Villa Margon, a splendid century representative office of the Ferrari . La Locanda Margon offers guests a twofold proposal : the Living Gourmet , for fans of the cuisine, and the Veranda , for those who do not want to compromise on quality even in a kitchen easier and faster .
We had an amazing lunch at this restaurant. To start, the drive to the restaurant once you leave the freeway is incredibly scenic along a windy road next to the vineyard. The views from the restaurant are stunning. There's a beautiful area with outdoor Seating, as well as a nice section with comfortable chairs inside. The service was top-notch - really impeccable. The food was outstanding - very creative, with great combinations, and beautiful plating. We wished we could eat like this more often. We ordered one "terroir" tasting menu as well as a dish that was offered a la carte (the riso e bollicine - highly recommended). This was plenty of food for two of us for lunch, and they were kind enough to split all the dishes before serving them to us - really a nice gesture. We enjoyed each and every dish - in particular the risotto and the rabbit, as well as a number of the amuse bouches. We asked if they could pair the dishes with sparkling wines, which they did - the wines were delicious, and the progression was great. At the end of the meal, the servers brought the chef out to meet us, even though we hadn't asked. It felt that everyone went out of their way to be nice to us - we would happily return in a heartbeat.

"La Berlera" focus on typical local recipes offering high quality dishes served on a fantastic location.
This was a really outstanding dining experience - seated outside on a warm evening, overlooking the northern part of the Lago di Garda, we enjoyed a modern and innovative interpretation of traditional local Trentino cuisine. I could not start recommending any dish, as they were all excellent - meat seems to be their specialty. Desserts were unbelievable as well, up to the colour combination of food and bowl.
Very helpful and friendly staff that can explain the food in english as well as italian.
The place itself has an interesting history, told on the menu. Make sure to reserve a table beforehand. Google maps was a good help in finding it, otherwise it might be a little difficult.

I've just finished raving about the hotel where this restaurant is located, now I get to review the restaurant. It's the best restaurant I visited in Italy in 2015. The dishes are innovative and they change frequently. The dining room itself is a so beautifully designed, with views to the snow covered Mountains beyond. The chairs - Walter Knoll - are so comfortable, I just wanted to buy a whole set of them for my own house! The wine list is extensive with very good, mid-priced Alto Adige wines. The service is perfect. Note to self: come back.

“Alla Pineta” is a typical Trentino restaurant, that still offers regional dishes, cooked according to the tradition and using local products. If you want to know more about it, click here! Typical Trentino cuisine first and foremost with many other imaginative and traditional recipes. Grandmother Elsa’s strudel is just one of our specialities and is really worth trying! Since 2003 the restaurant has proudly boasted the Osteria Tipica Trentina brand and Slow Food certification. The Sicher family welcomes you to their restaurant to sample typical Trentino dishes and lots of other genuine flavours.
While I think that the food here is not of sufficient interest to merit a trip by outside visitors, the restaurant is great to cater for the large number of hotel guests who eat here repeatedly. The dishes featured OK ingredients cooked mostly with a light hand and some touch of originality, the best one perhaps an orzotto with pesto flavour, the worst an amouse bocuhe of 'fennel cream' which tasted mainly of what was probably thickener.
The personnel is extremely kind, the prices are moderate. As a hotel restaurant operation, it is run with professionalism, integrity, and sympathy.

We've returned here this year. We compared this restaurant with other ones we passed walking, this one had a signigicant larger menu. For the kids, there was Kaiserschmarren - lovely pancakes. We had a pasta and a plate of local meats and cheeses. Lovely.

This little Restaurant (more of a traditional mountain farm, really) is somewhat off the beaten path, but the drive up the Mountains and through the alpine woods only adds to its charms. Once there, the feeling of accomplishment and remoteness adds to the excitement of this culinary outing.
The proprietor of the place happens to know my family, so the familiar and friendly reception we got as we bumped into him washing fresh, hand-picked herbs in the rustic water trough in the courtyard might be the exception, although I suspect it is the norm.
The food was amazing. Really, amazing! In the slow-food tradition, the ingredients were of the highest quality and, seeing that they are all locally sourced, or at least sourced from small-scale producers, each dish came with a plethora of stories behind the ingredients and the recipe.
At the end of our lunch, we bumped into distant relatives, who were celebrating a family birthday there. Four generations, all sitting in a traditional, wood-paneled dining room, loving the food and having a blast.
The prices are high, but not too high for the quality of the food and drink.
Since I've been there, I've recommended it to anyone passing through South Tyrol!

Make sure and call ahead as this restaurant is always busy because the view of the valley is breathtaking and the food preparation and service are unmatched. Any of the beef dishes are delicious. Meal prices are moderate and the quality of the food makes this a real value.

Quite a few refined dishes in this cute restaurant.
The complimentary bead basket offers several appealing options to go with the very good olive oil and whipped butter. A couple of varieties of bread were a little under-baked.
Tagliolini with truffle featured perfectly elastic, high quality pasta, cooked just right. The truffle shavings were few but intense. In the other primo, canederli were elegant and soft, and the accompanying beetroot mousse/espuma was intense - but the star of this dish was the cheese (I think Trentingrana)!
A main of venison was good, the meat tender,. But it was not well trimmed, with some gristle remaining, and also it was forming a pool of bloody fluid since it had not been well rested. The advertised pine-nuts were not in evidence, but there was an excellent pumpkin puree and spinach as garnish. The other main was vegetarian, a very tender cabbage leaf filled with creamy (goat) cheese, and some delicious panfried ceps.
Desserts were modern, captivating versions of the old classics, tiramisu and pannacotta. All good, balanced and light, though the pannacotta was on the heavy side.
Prices tend to be a little high for the region, but on the other hand the quality was very good. What was a little annoying was that they were higher than what was advertised on the website, not a good practice I think. On the other hand I appreciated that wines are very fairly priced. Service was cheerful, energetic and efficient.
On my experience this is one of the best choices in the area in its price category.

This fantastic Agriturismo (by the way, they also offer room accommodation!) is by far the best restaurant in the Valley, combining a friendly atmosphere with the astonishing quality of their products. All their dishes are prepared according to the traditional receipts with products that are coming strictly from their garden. Also, the meat is 0km as the animals come from their stocks. I was there with some friends from Italy, Sweden, England and Hong Kong and they were all impressed by the overall experience. Prices are also great! Compliments to the Ruatti family for putting so much passion and care into this. I hope I will go back soon!
