Taken here by family who reliably informed us this was one of the best restaurants around this part of the world.
This is a huge place split into two restaurants and amazingly popular and seemingly always full of people.
The menu is long and exhaustive which initially caused me some concerns as to how they can have a long fresh menu. However they have a huge kitchen and a lot of staff
As to the quality of the food very good traditional Slovak food . Lots of lovely balanced flavours.
Worth trying

Unfortunately, quite disappointing, had high expectations...
The single-room is quite small and not so comfortable.
The shower is the smallest I have ever seen in any hotel around the world !
The bed was comfortable, but over-all, the room price was overcharged, compare with other nicer rooms around the same town.
There was no soap in the shower, glad I usually have with me some, from home.
The restaurant was even a bigger disappointment !
Ordered a tuna and avocado Carpaccio : It had no avocado in there at all !! no balance at all.
Ordered a salad : again, no balance at all, quite tasteless, huge amount of greens, almost no dressing.
Ordered baby-leaf with Atlantic salt : what came was Atlantic salt with baby-leaf...
The main dish was fine, 8 out of 10

After hiking over 10 Miles in the High Tatras Mountains, it was a treat to end up at this charming, cozy restaurant. We had a lovely table by the window and enjoyed a delicious meal of spicy grilled chicken with corn and fries and wonderful garlic soup. Our dessert of warm apple strudel was also well prepared. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!

In a party of 8, we had a good meal here and everyone was happy. Good local menu, not very sophisticated but dishes to a good honest standard. Only a limited choice of eating places in Strbske, but this will not disappoint.

We were warmly welcomed by the proprietor for evening dinner despite having our 7yr old twins with us. He then gave us a talk to explain that the place was expensive (It wasn't)and didn't serve a tourist menu but a set "tasting menu" and he seemed to expect us to walk out but we didn't.
Each course came with an explanation and the courses we ordered were interspersed with little "compliments from the chef"
The food was all delicious and lived up to the description.
With so much effort spent on the food we reckoned that we could trust the house wine to be appropriate and well chosen which it was.
It was a really lovely unexpected delightful evening.
Thank you to our host for your hospitality and care.

We went to The Harleys on a weekday night looking at some reviews.
Restaurant is decorated in American style, quite cool.
All of us ordered same dish - steak served with hot lava stone. Although we ordered small size (250g) the whole dish was really big. Steak was served with some mash potatoes with garlic and cheese, some selection of veg, knob of herb butter, onion rings and fried egg. I can say that it was one of the best steaks I ever had and If I will have a chance I will definately come back again.
They also have great selection of coctails and drinks so you can spend more time there.

A tiny little mountain village in Slovakia is probably the last place you'd expect to find of Welsh Pizzeria, but here you are. This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. The pizzas are good and the extra large is absolutely massive. So you've been warned.

The place is excellent, waiters are well trained with excellent english! The foods and drinks are delicious, the prices are acceptable! We enjoyed our evening with drinks and food very much after our daytrip to the Krivan!

Nice small Italian restaurant with great food Perfect way to end a long vacation day. Food was served exactly as it should. The pasta was al dente and the pizza was crispy.

This restaurant is one of the highest quality in the area. Prices are also on the more expensive side, but it still worth it. I recommend this place if you want a bit more than the usual village restaurant with grilled meat&fries. They speak English.
