Lancashire-based Michael Wan's Mandarin was established in 1961. The purveyor of Cantonese cuisine is lauded as "superb," "fantastic," "delicious and consistent," with "fabulous food," by the critics on TripAdvisor, landing it a spot as one of the top 3 Chinese restaurants in the UK based on customer reviews. Signature dishes include Twice Cooked Pork, Gon Siu Crispy Beef and Huan San Fish and Tofu Stew.
Our 6th visit and a must every time we stay in Blackpool. We book early as it gets really full very quickly at the weekend. We opted for the pre-theatre set menu as usual. Their platter of starters consists of ribs, spring rolls, prawn toast and chicken satay skewers, all delicious. To accompany this we had a pint of delicious Sunlick lager and a Mandarin Martini (wife said it was lovely). For mains we chose sweet and sour chicken and king prawns with seasonal greens and sides of fried rice and soft noodles. All in all a superb meal as it always has been and will definitely return.

Nice brekkie and a top brew.....
We visited today (21st October). I had seen really good reviews so decided that we would pop here for breakfast/brunch before we went to illuminasia today. Was NOT disappointed at all :D :D
My husband had the full english (sausage, bacon, beans, egg, hashbrown and slice of toast) with a cup of coffee - Our 5 year old had chicken bites (off children's menu) with chips and a fruit shoot drink - I had a cheese & onion toastie with a small side salad and coleslaw and a pot of tea for one .....
Everything was lovely - food was hot, looked lovely, tasted lovely .. Drinks were top notch :) - Didn't have to wait a long time to receive food, the cafe had plenty of customers and we can see why :) :)
Staff were pleasant, service was as it should be and the cafe was lovely and clean :)

The good reviews on Yorkshire Fisheries are justified. If anyone longs for how fish and chips used to taste when they were young then this is the place. We had a fish meal and a fishcake meal. We aren't massive eaters but we ate the...MoreThank you very much for taking the time to write your review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your meals and that they tasted just how they used to taste. We look forward to serving you again when you next visit.

In our eyes, there is no better place to have a first-rate meal served by sterling staff who will do absolutely anything, and who will adapt any preferences you may have without hesitation. Tonight was no exception. Looking forward so much to calling again, we had our choices made even before we got there. The steaks with sauce must be the best on the Fylde Coast bar none, both in quantity and quality. For non-steak lovers, there are other great choices . We have never considered pasta or pizza, but maybe next time we will go down a different route and choose something entirely out of the ordinary for us. We had a great evening again, with the usual banter from Max, accompanied by the finest red wine we could ever have. Can’t wait to return.

Visited with my wife and 2 very good friends for our wedding anniversaries.
Had to book and chose the 5.30 sitting.
Lovely ambience once seated with attentive and at times comical staff.
Excellent menu choices and wind/drinks offerings
The food courses were served timeously without being rushed and excellently presented.
Quality of the food was outstanding and plentiful.
A great evening was had by all and would definately reccommend to any foodies wanting an Italian Fayre.
Thank you Sapori

Booked a table for 6.30, we had to wait to be seated as obviously person before had not left yet. Very tiny place so would recommend booking, had we not we wouldn’t have got a table. We had 2 pescatore pizzas which were cooked to perfection and tasted great, also had dessert; the cheese cake and a meringue with raspberry and ice cream and clotted cream both were really good. With two drinks it came to just under £25, so not a bad price at all.

We come here about twice a year, because the menu includes items beyond the ubiquitous pizza and pasta and it makes a change. The prices are reasonable, the food hot and tasty, the staff excellent. But the place is noisy (open kitchen, big parties), the tables are close together and if anyone has a birthday, the din accompanying the cake hurts your ears. Don’t come here for a quiet evening out!

Small cafe, cake shop with craft area. Hasn't got a website.
Visited today and we all enjoyed a lovely cream tea. Choice of teas, including loose leaf. Choice of sultana or cherry scone. Lovely fresh scones, and generous portion of jam and clotted cream given.
Food on nearby tables looked delicious, especially freshly made soup.
Only downside .... don't take cards.
