All day breakfast/brunch menu served with additional lunch from 11.30 using the freshest of ingredients. Exciting menu tailored to suit all appetites.
Following recommendations from TripAdvisor, we decided Fresq was where we would have our first breakfast in Port Douglas. The coffee was phenomenal, the meals were delicious, well presented and filling and service was fast. After some initial attitude from our waitress (our table were definitely being a bit slow ordering), she and the barista gave us some real nuggets of information to make our stay in Port Douglas more enjoyable. Definitely add Fresq to your must do list in Port Douglas.

Located in the heart of Port Douglas, this 'must-do', award winning restaurant encompasses all that dining in the tropics should be, fun, fresh, dynamic & memorable. Operating for over 22 years, Salsa's reputation derives from its amazing and eclectic menu, extensive wine list, professional and friendly staff as well as a bustling and vibrant atmosphere.Whether dining with a friend, family, group or wedding - you can't go past a good Salsa experience!
Seafood overcooked - we couldn’t eat the calamari & oddly the waitress asked if it was undercooked..
The mains were also overcooked & I left mine. However we were offered a free dessert which was fair.
Although a busy spot and full of atmosphere we wouldn’t recommend the food.

Elegant outdoor dining in the tropical rainforest of North Queensland. We specialise in romantic dinners for 2 to group functions and weddings.
The venue was nice but that is all that was good about this place. The food was ok, the drinks were terrible and the head staff were rude. There are a number of better venues up here to enjoy.

The Watergate Restaurant & Lounge Bar is located in the heart of Port Douglas, at the corner of Grant and Macrossan Street behind the Rotary Park. Enter down the flame lit path from Macrossan Street. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Watergate's cuisine is modern Australian. Executive Chef Lee Neate sources fresh, seasonal produce to prepare innovative dishes that reflect contemporary trends in Australian cooking. Opening hours : the restaurant is open for lunch from midday, and dinner is served from 5:30 pm, seven days a week. We also have a light lounge menu available available through the day until late. Watergate also has a well appointed bar, ideal for a cocktail as the sunsets, or maybe a light meal from the lounge menu with a bottle of wine. It is also available for a pre-dinner drink, or desserts and coffee at the end of the night.

After a really long day of travel and getting unpacked/setup, we opted for 2Fish on our first night and we were not disappointed. Excellent service, delicious food, we really thought it wouldn't be topped. The tuna tartar was a standout, closely followed by the dessert - a deconstructed banoffee, drool. Great recommendations from the waitress - thank you!! Would definitely go back next trip.

Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne.

Phone Nigel for more history on 617 4099 5295 or email on [email protected]
Mocka's do a range of breads daily 7 days a week. My favs are the dark ryes and sourdoughs. I purchased a sourdough just now and it will provide good for a week without problems, unlike supermarket breads.

Staff are great fun and enthusiastic about their food, which is very good. Kids spaghetti bolognese was very good. Scallop special was excellent - simply cooked in the shell. Main of seafood pasta stuffed with fish and a bug on top. Cannoli for desert excellent.
Certainly on of the best meals we’ve had on our trip to PD.
Marked down a little as the Seating area we had was inside and acoustics very poor. Quite expensive too.

Whileaway is the Port Douglas destination for lovers of great books and delicious coffee.
This is a quaint bookshop with a limited range of books. I had a cappacino which was great. I had with it a Raspberry and White Chocolate which was tasty except it was missing the white chocolate. We asked for water but the waitress simply told us to get water for ourselves. We went to get water but no glasses were there. All in all morning tea which started well ended in disappointment to unfriendly, unhelful staff.
