This is my second review of Sebastians - the last being just over 12 months ago. They say it is hard to improve on perfection but Mark, Michelle and their team have managed it. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection while the staff were attentive without being intrusive. Due to flight and car problems the evening could have been disaster but Michelle and Mark took everything in their stride and the evening was rescued by their efforts and patience.

The Navigation Inn is an 18th Century canalside inn serving home made food using seasonal and ethically sourced ingredients. We offer superb real ales, and a great selection of wines and other drinks. Whether you want to enjoy a meal or just want to stop for a drink or three our dining room and bars offer relaxed and characterful spaces. We also have a canalside patio where you can enjoy al fresco dining and drinking. Dogs and children are also welcome! Our food is home made and the quality of the ingredients we use is particularly important to us. All raw meat products supplied by our catering butcher are fully traceable in origin and we insist that he sources meat that conforms to our welfare standards. Many products such as lamb, pork (including sausages and bacon) and eggs are purchased from local farms where we deal directly with the producer. All of our meat is ethically produced and wherever possible free range. (Eggs, chicken and pork are 100% free range) We will always try to buy locally and support the farming community who we value so much. We use Fish Fight guidelines to ensure that seafood is sourced from sustainable fisheries. Our menus are created using these criteria and with a firm eye on the seasonality of the ingredients. Brent and Mark have owned The Navigation for nearly 11 years and continue to strive to offer you a relaxed visit with excellent service, food and drink. They are very ably supported by Head Chef Jack who has been running the kitchen for 5 years and by Sous Chef Craig. In addition our waiters, waitresses, cleaner and kitchen assistants are all here to enhance your visit. Your security is overseen by the tireless (and occasionally vocal) presence of Belle and Sebastienne, our German Shepherds.
We visited the Navigation pub this weekend for my sister's Birthday. The pub is warm & inviting, has a dog friendly section & the staff were courteous & attentive. The menu selection was varied & the food was amazing. Tasted delicious & lovely presentation. We were all happy with our food & being vegetarian I was really happy with the food I had. We especially liked the Pina Colada dessert it was the best dessert ever. Definitely worth a visit & we will return next time we are in the area

The Jack Mytton is a canal side Public House set in the hamlet of Hindford North Shropshire set in grounds of nearly 3 acres bordering the Famous Llangollen Canal where it houses 6 private boat moorings. A popular Summer Family Venue, the Jack Mytton is closed for the Winter to reopen later in the Spring.
We called in here yesterday (Thursday) lunchtime with our Cocker Spaniel, although the pub was not really open due to Winter serving times, they were expecting a group of walkers and we were warmly welcomed. What a fabulous pub! the decor was fantastic and very much to my taste. The staff here were thoroughly professional and welcoming even offering our dog treats and water so we decided to have lunch, I cannot praise them enough!
Now for the lunch, I hate to gush but wow! I had the hiccup cure...a panini filled with pepperoni, cheese, onions and jalapenos, a lovely salad and skinny fries, it was gorgeous, my husband had a burger stack which he loved and the surprise of the day was the coleslaw, no mayo in sight but drizzled with lime juice (delicious) - we never ate for the rest of the day. Such a shame we were only visiting the area and had to come home today, this place would be a favourite for me, lovely, clean and warm, just how a pub should be. Look after your staff, they are gems. Oh and the Symonds cider...........delicious!

All served in our beautiful restored and completely refurbished church. From April/May outside Seating on the terraces is available with pram and wheelchair access. Italian run and owned.
Sat evening visit about 7pm. Pretty quiet. First impressions poor due to tatty menu. Starters small and main courses bland and average. Side order of chips seemed suspiciously "chip shop Style". If I didn't know better I'd say they were from the chippy down the road.

My wife and I have been here a few times over the past 5 years and the food has always been very good. We have just been again for lunch and the standard is still the same. We received a very warm welcome and because they weren't very busy they were happy to bring our drinks to the table. I had the steak pie which was one of the best I have ever had and my wife had the vegetable lasagne which she said was very good. My only complaint would be that they should not allow dogs in where food is being served especially ones that keep begging for food and just mango on the seats where people are going to sit.

Lovely local pub atmosphere. Great food, generous portions, good value. Main courses almost too big ... didn't have a starter and had no room for desert.

We booked this as it was the nearest pub to were we were staying and could walk there and back so we could all have a drink.
From the outside this looks just like a local country pub with a lounge bar and snug.
Not so this pub has its own brewery too .We opened the door to be greeted by the local shooting party which consisted of the beaters and their partners who were in fine form. We were welcomed and shared conversation with them about their day. In the mix was the Brewer whom i was able to get some details on the beer. I was then treated to sample before settling on the one i liked. We were shown to our table in a separate area which was simply laid out wit wooded tables and chairs . the walls were adorned with old items from the past including several black and white photos, all depicting life in the area over several decades , brilliant went round and took them all in. The staff were excellent and friendly . We were so impressed with the shelf explaining what Shrewsbury lamb was we all had it. Excellent would recommend it. a great evening with good food . on leaving we met up with the shooting party and again exchanged pleasantries . Ending with several photos and a lot of laughs. Thanks you lads it was a great evening.
