Nahil Mayab Restaurant is the ideal venue in Orange Walk Town, Belize, for a family dinner, romantic date, business lunch, or to socialize. Guests can dine in our air-conditioned dining hall or in the courtyard surrounded by a lush, tropical forest garden. Choose from an array of dishes prepared by our certified chef and her team. Amenities include complimentary wireless internet and a children's playground.
If you're in Orange Walk, and you want guaranteed good food and cleanliness, this is your best bet. It's more expensive than other restaurants, but you get what you pay for. Credit cards accepted. Excellent menu. Lovely staff--especially Ms. Veronica Castillo. Once I found it, I ate all lunches and dinners here. Avoid the Chinese restaurants in town, as cleanliness is a big issue with them...

Right by the Shell fuel station
The title of the review says it all: this is probably the simplest, no-frills, no-nonsense, local food joint in Orange Walk. Don't expect four-seasons service as you won't get it; but what you'll get is 100% genuine, local, greasy-spoon fare!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, which included several meals at this restaurant. The menu is solid, with a variety of choices, including great ceviche, burritos, chicken, fish, and other selections. The restaurant has an outdoor patio bar serving beer, wine, rum drinks, and several higher end spirits for a thirsty traveler. The view is wonderful. You can sit on the patio or right along river and enjoy wildlife and river travelers. The restaurant closes at 7:00 and sometimes offers music.
We stayed for 6 nights at one of the stand-alone Cabanas and were very pleased with our selection. It's handy having a restaurant and bar so close, especially returning after a long day outing.
The hospitality of the owner, Mr. P, is wonderful. He's so interesting and helpful, it was a pleasure to stay here.
As a suggestion, a sign at the side road would be helpful but not necessary as the guide books show this facility on their maps.

Our menu has Belizean Cuisine with a hint of international flavor; featuring our local meats, chicken, seafood, and an array of appetizers. Our bar offers a wide selection of beverages ranging from cold beers, fresh fruit juices to tropical cocktails and great wine. Cocina Sabor: “Bringing you a twist of flavors!” Awaits your visit.
We have visited Cocina Sabor twice and both times I had a delicious meal. The shrimp quesadillas were especially mouth watering. However the general atmosphere could use a little sprucing up. The decor is outdated and makes the restaurant seem tired. We have no complaints...MoreWe thank you for taking the time to write us a review.Happy to hear you enjoyed your meals with us.We appreciate your comment and will certainly take it into consideration.

Wow, what's to to like about a top notch bakery? We visited every day of our six days here, picking up chicken filled crescents, ham and jalapeño bread rolls, real ginger cookies (you'll never eat store bought again), apple pastries with superb flaky crust, chocolate cake, carrot cake, rolls of every type, moist cookies, flaky layered pastries with and without filling, and other treats. It was hard to choose, as we circled around admiring tray after tray of delicious delicacies. "Let's get one of those and one of those and two of these. And another of that one."
The bakery opens at 8:00 am but don't be in a hurry. The best time to go is about 1:00 in the afternoon, as the goods for the day gradually make their way from the oven to the shelf. Or go twice, once in the morning for breakfast and in the afternoon for dessert. Later in the afternoon there are slices of pizza available and also something that looked like empanadas. We didn't try either but they sure looked good. You can also get coffee and cold sodas and juices.
I especially appreciated the focus on food handling, including head nets and two people cashing out - one to bag your goodies and the other to handle money. There was no double duty with handling money and food. Nice.
We left each time with drinks and a bagful of goodies. Our bill was less than $10 BZ each time. Oh, as you enter, pick up a try and tongs to your right. Help yourself, then cash out at the counter.

Maracas Bar and Grill is a great option for dining on the river. We offer daily tours to Lamanai. You can enjoy a beer on the river deck while watching the tug boats and barges travel the river hauling sugar and molasses for export. Good food...Good music! Join us for lunch or dinner or a drink by the river!
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service during the day could have been more friendly and inviting but our service for dinner was great. The river view is enjoyable and as far as mosquitoes go, they provided smoking incense for the table to keep the bugs away.

Tan's Pizza serves delicious pizzas and calzones, juicy burgers and cultural salpicon among other tasty fast foods in a cool Maya Mestizo setting. You can enjoy creamy Margaritas and local beers among other drinks. The restaurant, Tan's Pizza Paradiso, is situated at the Zaldivar's residence only two blocks away from the center of town. It is adorned an oasis in a quiet neighbourhood. The proud family business serves take-out, Delivery, sit down and private events.
We had a really great dinner at Tan's! It's a nice and mellow restaurant and we were craving for something else instead of the local rice and beans. The pizza's have a thick crunchy crust, with heaps of topping. We ordered a 12" and a...MoreWow! The Tan's Pizza family really appreciates your great comment on our pizza. Mr. Tan surely enjoyed your company. Please come again.
