The food was indeed extraordinary, and the show...what should I say. However, the fact that we were 8, everybody ordered something different, there were so many ingredients and everything was served simultaneously led to some less than hot meat on our plates...Service was very good, prices on the high end.

Every time when being in Frankfurt, having dinner at Luigi`s restaurant, “Neuer Haferkasten” is unavoidable. An extraordinary choice of fresh fish and beef combined with great pasta and other accompaniments make every visit a great pleasure. Despite the “usual food“, Luigi offers for lunch special menus, which ensure a good price-performance ratio. Especially in summer times, the fantastic garden is a great argument for having lunch/dinner at this place.
Besides the lauded food and ambiente, the personal is always friendly and very attentive.
All in all, Luigi does a great job while trying to fulfill every wish of it`s clients.

The restaurant isn't very big and tables could be considered fairly close. However, the atmosphere is good and decoration stylish. Service is good, although the German of the staff is quite fast spoken. They will switch to English without problem, though.
The menu is interesting and the wine menu is excellent. The flammkuchen is very tasty. All dishes are presented beautifully and portions are very well sized.

Great place! Great food ( five star!) which is presented well. You can choose between two menu offers or take just one or two position from it. Great choice of German wines.

Looking for a stylish cafe with a direct view of Main? Then we would like to extend a warm welcome to a delicious gourmet breakfast or a powerful espresso with a piece of self-brewed tiramisu. We gladly offer freshly prepared dishes, salads and snacks for in between. Enjoy your evening with a glass of wine and get them to move out of the passing cruise ships in the holiday mood. Plan to spend with your colleagues or friends together a leisurely afternoon or evening with us? We have room for up to 40 people and ask you for also like a menu together. Even if you want to make someone a little treat, we keep vouchers for you, you give it out a dinner for two or a sweet "coffee party". We, the Mainkai CAFE - BISTRO team are looking forward to your visit!
This was the first place we ate in Frankfurt based on TripAdvisor reviews.
We both got the Chicken schnitzel, as it was called on the menu but when it came it was not the breaded schnitzel I was expecting. It was also Not piping hot so we had to eat fast. There were 2 different sauces on plate (mushroom sauce for the schnitzel and the salad dressing) and these merged which was not exactly great.
However I’m only removing 1 star from the review for all this ad the food is Good value and it is Tasty food.

This is our third time to this restaurant while visiting relatives. As on previous visits we found the food, service and atmosphere very enjoyable. The menu while not extensive as some, offers authentic German food including regional specialities. Good beers and wines. English language menu available. Service is friendly and efficient given the place is always packed and seems popular with groups. An authentic, bustling, loud, cheerful German dining experience. If you want to try that, then Apfelwein Foehl delivers in spades but while they will always try to find you a table, I would strongly advise booking to avoid disappointment.
Unfortunately our relatives will leave Germany in summer, so we will need to find an excuse to travel back for a meal. It would be worth the trip.

This is a wonderful place for having an a-la-carte breakfast with a wide variety of choices. If you are familiar with diners in the United States you get a sense of the kind of breakfast food served. Hearty egg dishes and omelettes, crisp bacon, sausages, or pancakes with syrup if you prefer that, served with fresh blueberries and yogurt. The place doesn't open until 9 am and, believe it or not, a reservation is advisable to make sure you find a seat at a breakfast table. Wilhelmsplatz is the site of the weekly farmers market on Saturday mornings and Tafelspitz & Soehne is obviously a popular venue for people doing their weekend shopping at the market. We were there on a Saturday morning and almost didn't get a table when we arrived at 9 am.

We went here randomly for a business dinner, and it was probably the best decision for this area! Great staff and very attentive service. The waiters were kind enough to to explain the menu since no one in our group was native German. The food portions were just the right size, for an area where enormous portions are a norm! I'd definitely visit this place again!
