The quirky, millennium-old capital of Fyn (or Funen), Odense is populated by street corner sculptures of trolls and monster-footed benches. Hans Christian Andersen's birthplace is crammed with fairytale-related attractions. A plethora of castles awaits in the surrounding countryside, including the 1554 Egeskov Castle with its dramatic moat, 18 miles away. Bike or walk to visit manatees at the zoo, open-air museums, the impressive cathedral, the art cinema and bustling cafés, or see the town by riverboat.

A lovely old Inn right in the middle of Denmark , we are open 7 days a week all year around - we have a Café and a Restaurant
We went there with friends. Great cozy location! Super friendly staff. The food is absolutely delicious and high standard . I definitely recommend going there. But bring a lot of money, since it's very expensive. The price makes up for the food though!:)

Went in to this restaurant for a late lunch. We went in because we saw : Gravad Laks (lightly cold smoked salmon) on the menu book outside the resto. The Resto itself looks ancient from the outside. And when you went in, it looks even more ancient, with lots of beautiful old ornaments. However you will be amazed what you will find further.
Food......amazing. The price you pay match with the service given. This resto offers fine dining. Food wise: amazing. We loved our éntree which is red half cold smoked Salmon. It was perfectly done, tender meat and not salty.
Main dishes was Stjerneskud (shooting star), it's actually a fish dishes consisted of fish fritter with a light batterred, steamed flat fish and smoked salmon (but different from the above smoked salmon) presented with some greens and bread. The taste of the fried battered fish was amazing. But each type of fish had distinctive taste, except the smoked salmon.
Overall it's a fine delicate and delightful lunch ever we have in Odense.

I was only here for morning tea but this is an amazing little restaurant - 200 years old. Interior is original. The owner was happy to show us around - checked out the menu which is truly magical. Situated behind Hans Christen Anderson Museum in the old part of Odense with it's cobble stone roads.

A cosy restaurant perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. People go for the build-it-yourself burger, which is huge & delicious. If you're going for a drink - go somewhere else. Super-expensive drinks.

Whenever I'm in Odense for business, I try to get a table in this great restaurant which is not always easy given its popularity... but last night I was able! Their menu by design is limited in terms of choices but it always delivers! Last night I had wild mushrooms in a cream sauce, sole, and coq au vin... all excellently prepared and presented beautifully by Camilla, the one woman wonder of the kitchen. Martin took very good care of the front of the house.... I'm just so impressed with the fact that just 2 people can deliver such a culinary experience. Looking forward already to my next trip to Odense and No. 61

Hungry after a long day of sightseeing, we found this place and got lucky. Great bistro type menu, it costs but ample portions. We had a great steak frites, and local beer. It was crowded with happy people, on an otherwise quiet summer evening in Odense. Parking is found very close.

I loved the interior, the lighting and atmosphere by the mirror and the very delicately arranged and tasty food.
Asian food has had a bad reputation for very long, but with Goma's and Sieu's arrival - together with Wokkabox - it has been established, even in Odense, that Asian food can be truly a gastro experience.

This is the third time I have had the pleasure to visit this extraordinary restaurant in the heart of Odense (the birthplace of the famous danish poet Hans Christian Andersen) and what a pleasure .... I can't even describe how delicious their 7 dishes menu are.... Combined with their selection of wine, I completely surrendered myself...so delicious and tasteful and they surely know how to make people feel good...
My suggestion is, go there, enjoy and have a great experience combined with a meal you will not forget in a long long time...

Gourmet Burgers in Odense!
The burgers are so good, there are around 6 to choose from and they're all really well thought out. They have a sliders menu which rotates which 3 you get. The fries are large and serve 2 people. All the dips for the fries are really good. It's a nice looking, modern place, with really nice staff.
