"U Pelzu is husband-wife affair with a small staff, a large secondary room/salon, a small gallery and musical & cultural events taking place a couple of times per week. It is a real treat to come to this place and sit down after a day of riding and eating your typical Czech fare. The cook is constantly making things from scratch, true home-cooking, no additives or ingredients from a packet, bag or can. It’s all fresh. Menu items are dependant upon what is bought or found fresh; for example, while we were sitting down having a beer and talking, the husband said he had to leave to go forage for mushrooms (chanterelles) which then appeared in the next day’s soup. My son suddenly started drinking hot-chocolate every time we popped in because it was so obviously crafted and carefully made."

we stopped here for lunch after searching online at the restaurant reviews. This restaurant is nicely located in the central town center with easy parking areas. The restaurant has a nice ambience with the smoking and non smoking completely separated. The non smoking was located in the veranda area with loads of natural light. We ordered the seasonal specialty--game. Both dishes were good ( wild pig and deer) with the same sauce, served with red cabbage and potatoes.
The prices were really reasonable and we were thankful to all the reviews in helping us to decide which restaurant to eat at.

Alles preiswert. Danach herrliche Zwetschkenknödel. Dort muss man einfach zufrieden sein.

We were very glad to come in out of the rain and have a meal in here - pretty standard Czech restaurant with the usual goulash / schnitzel / dumpling combination. Beer was good. It never stopped raining though so we had to abandon our idea of exploring further afield.

This ranch/hotel/restaurant has a large herd of buffaloes. Although the restaurant offers quite wide menu containing also other kinds of meat, most people are heading here for tasting of buffalo meat. Probably most popular with guests are hamburgers that are very good, just buns could be better. Specialties from buffalo meat are more expensive but they are worth it. Staff were helpful, kind and the service fast. I would say the best restaurant in a radius of several tenth of kilometres.

As you want to try local fresh fish you definitely have to to go there even if you are 20 km away. The fish are prepared fast with delicious spice, it's true there are only few possibilities to choose from, but the best choice is to take everything! I have never eaten in Czech such a great fish meal. Really! Despite the bread is the only possible side dish.

I spent holiday in hotel Nobys and had half-board in the restaurant.
The morning table was the same for all five days with exceptional variations.
The 3 course dinner consisted of
* excellent creamy soap
* gourmet-wannabe main meal without any fresh salad/vegetables/fruits - although it was summer and lot of local vegetables in the market - sometimes quite small portion
* cream + ice or cake desert
I mean the cook could cook, but his invention was gone and he will bore you to death if you eat there regularly.
The beverages were quite expensive.
