Great food at reasonable prices. We had friends over and decided to find a restaurant in Niort, using the Tripadvisor app. This restaurant seemed to fit our needs and didn't disappoint. We ate inside. Decor was lovely and and the service excellent. We ate from the most expensive set menu, 26.50 euro and the food was very well cooked and tasty. I recommend this place. We are off again tonight, with other friends, so hoping for a similar experience.

You definately need your Sat Nav to find this restaurant but once found it is lovely. We arrived for a sunday lunch after a long drive from Spain so knowing that the restaurant was closed Sunday night and monday we wanted to try it and arrived early/ or late enough to still catch the lunch menu sitting.
The food was lovely but I was a little disappointed as I had been expecting more especially after our last trip to a gourmet restaurant in France. That said the restaurant did deliver what was ordered and it was very good.

My wife and I (and the dog) went here for dinner during a 1 night stop-over in Niort. Dogs welcome (of course - it's France !), the service was very good, even with my broken French, and the food was fantastic. Don't be shy if you don't speak great French. We interpreted the menu with Google Translate. Very easy, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

I'm late submitting this review from our 2013 France trip. The restaurant is delightful and the food is superb. Service was terrific. The decor was modern and orange :). Comfortable Seating and an attractive menu. Price was a bit high but we felt that the...MoreMerci de votre avis et au plaisir de vous accueillir dans notre nouvel établissement.

My wife and I visited on 25 Sept. 2012 for lunch. The restaurant is situated on a rather dowdy street with several other restaurants within a stone's throw including Turkishe, Greek, Liberian, Spanish, Armenian and Savoiard! However, this restaurant is traditionally French and is smart and spotless inside.
My wife is somewhat disabled but even at a busy lunchtime we were welcomed and a table for four was reset to make her comfortable. The welcome was warm and, we felt, genuine. The service was prompt and kindly. The set menus appeared good value but the a la carte dishes (exhibited on a black board) appeared to be expensive, even if they did have expensive ingredients such as foie gras; lobster; ris de veau.
As I was driving we required only a half bottle of wine but few are available. The demi "Listerac-Medoc" which we enjoyed was pricey at 17€ for the half.
We both choose from the 19,80 set menu and were very very pleased with both the value and the quantity being satisfied without feeling bloated. The chicken supreme in a fennel and leek sauce was superb. The desert of creme brule with (it was stressed) vanilla fresh from Madagascar was truly excellent, simple yet delicious.
With wine, mineral water, mise en bouche, two set menus, coffee and petit fours our total bill of 65€ we felt to be good value.
As my wife is a retired Cordon Bleu Chef we are not unaware of the appropriate standards for such a place at those prices. We came away well pleased and delighted with the kindness shown to my wife who was escorted out to the pavement on our departure.

The food is very 'haute cuisine' with prices to match. Excellent service and beautifully located by the river with a few weirs and Waterfalls on the other side of the shady garden. Picturesque but not really an every day place. The car park at lunchtime...MoreNous vous invitons à revenir tester notre nouvelle salle à partir de décembre. merci

Went here for evening dinner, whilst on a business trip in the area. Staff very friendly, and this restaurant is, in my opinion, a lot more than just a standard French bistro. Would definitely go back. A wonderful find for dinner. Great atmosphere, superb food, with an interesting and inexpensive wine-list. Food was really very very good - a very memorable. My only regret is that my wife wasn't with me.
