Service was really slow to get going but the food was worth the wait. The menu on the door gave us the impression take away was not available Saturday night but it certainly was and probably the main reason for the delay. We chose just one dish with rice/jasmine tea & a steaming, sizzling plate of freshly cooked food arrived, from wok to table in seconds.

This restaurant has an outstanding setting, in a big old stately house, overlooking a bend in the Derwent River, with terraces of lawn, garden beds and bushland spreading below you. They didn't have outside Seating on the night we went, which could have been due to the high winds earlier in the day.
The service was very personal (if not fast) as there weren't many tables or many staff, and the food of the highest standard, with skilfully prepared roasts, steaks and seafood on the menu. They're big on attention to detail, and even the bread rolls are boutique and baked fresh for you. The desserts were equally old-world, and the coffee served with gold-leafed chocolate figs.
A very filling step back in time.

It's obvious that the owners are coffee lovers as your coffee is made as you prefer it. The perfect place to stop for a home style morning tea or lunch while searching for treasures in the Antique shops of New Norfolk.

Cheeky Little Place is a local institution serving awesome coffee, milkshakes and food made on the premises. We use locally sourced produce when ever we can including our milk, lamb, beef, pork, eggs and seasonal vegetables. Brunch & Lunch is available all day as well as our daily baked pastries and dessert selections.
Went to New Norfolk with the intent of re-visiting this little cafe and having a cauliflower and cheese pie.
The fare had changed since last year and the decision was set on a couple of sausage rolls (homemade of course) - yum!
Coffee great as always
The place was humming - testament to good food and coffee
We'll keep going back

Enjoy our superb and lovely continental breakfast buffet in the amazing breakfast venue with folk music to awaken your spirit and body. Our friendly and all-hearted service brings blessing ambience to whole place and the one you love. It's only $15 per head for a walk-in guest. If you are blessed as our house guest, it is included in the accommodation. In addition, we also offer delicious and warm cooked a la carte breakfast menu. Dear guest can order and pay at reception desk. Looking forward to seeing you .
One one of the best places to eat and drink and even stay a while when in New Norfolk, The service was deliciously witty and wry and the very friendly staff helped up choose the perfect Spring fare to combat the cool climes of New Norfolk. Loved this place!!! Will happily go back and stay a little longer at The Junction; the rooms are spacious and quirky, warm, comfortable, well equipped and well, simply divine!

We serve light lunches, cakes, great coffee, herbal teas and we have vegeterian and GF options.
We lunched at Patchwork Cafe on a Saturday. The staff were really pleasant and helpful in selecting a Tasmanian wine to accompany the meal. There was live music which was great and outdoor Seating in either sun or shade. The Reuben Sandwich was everything it is supposed to be, absolutely superb. My friends OMG burger was really good with a juicy burger and multiple fillings. Our only very minor negative was that the white wine and the cider were not quite chilled enough.
The 2 meals and a wine and a cider cost only $42.80

First visit to this pub - extended family lunch for Father's Day. Drinks offering is fairly basic - typical offering for a country pub I guess. Meals were very nice. I had a peppered rump steak with chips/salad. Steak was cooked perfectly. Others said their meals were very nice. Couldn't fault the service.

We stopped here a couple of times while exploring the area. Pepper steak pies are superb and great value. We had coffee and pastries here yesterday - I went for the peppermint slice and my wife had a vanilla slice. Great cakes but no good if you are on a diet

We were looking for something quick and tasty. Shot cafe in Main St was perfect. Simple toasted sandwiches, pre-made Mediterranean roll which could be toasted and lovely cold milkshakes. Nothing special. Older style but suited us on this occasion.

We decided we had to visit the pub with the longest continuous licence in Australia because of the history. It did feel old, and the creaky uneven floorboards certainly added to that feeling. Some interesting memorabilia to check out while waiting for the meal.
My partner's steak was beautifully còoked to his liking and my fisherman's basket was delicious. A side salad which included beetroot, slice of egg, coleslaw, pasta salad and lettuce slice was a welcome change to the usual lettuce and red onion bowl.
Eat inside and look through the full length glass wall at the scenery or outside on the large deck.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Prices were a bit high for a pub meal but was enjoyable.
