Gateway to the stunning beaches of Rio Grande do Norte, the city of Natal is perched on Brazil's Atlantic coast, at the mouth of the Potengi River. Escape the bustle at secluded Pipa and Pirangi beaches or live it up at Genipabu and Tibau do Sul. The city is surrounded by Dune State Park. Go on a buggy ride over 30-foot sand dunes or tour the dunes on a dromedary tour. The city is home to the cleanest air on the continent, according to NASA, and also to the world's largest cashew tree.

Mangai is one of the most famous restaurants in Natal. With a rustic yet tidy atmosphere, it combines a wide range of excellent local dishes in a buffet with a high quality service. Our feeling was: "Humm, this is diferent, I like it! ".
It's a must go if your'e in Natal.

I had already visited the "old" Cameroes (Potiguar) before, and made a review for it. Now I visited the newer Cameroes twice. No use repeating what everyone says about Cameroes: they live up to their reputation, cannot say anything bad about it. As a starter, try the bolinhos de bacalhau. Wonderful! From the shrimp dishes I recommend Bonfim or Flor de sal. I also enjoyed their fine pina colada.
Both shrimp dishes are more than enough for 2 people. Cameroes is not cheap and it can be very crowded (expect to wait at least half an hour for dinner, they have a waiting area) but you will not regret your visit.

Tapioca is sort of a big deal in the North East of the country. This restaurant has the best tapioca I've had so far in Brazil. Definitely worth going, we ended up going three times we liked it so much. Super friendly staff, coconut water straight from an icy cold coconut. For me it couldn't get any better. Ordered fried shrimp as a starter, two salty tapiocas and a traditional cartola sweet tapioca for dessert. Worth every penny. Best part is you can actually take off your sandals and dig your feet in real sand when sitting outside.

I have been to Restaurant Camarões many years ago and loved it. Last month went again and was pleased to know they have at least 3 different addresses in Natal now. Great food, very good service and prices are reasonable. Good selection of wine too, totally recomend it !

I was really impressed when the waiter opened the door for me.
The modern and clean facade, the cozy environment and kind team made me feel very comfortable.
The menu is very well balanced with options of plates that can be harmonize with wines, appropriately maintained in coolers.
I do recommend for those who are willing to get out of the tourist's standardized routes and have new experience of senses.

The Manary Gastronomy & Art, restaurant in the eponymous hotel, is very well located, almost inside the Ponta Negra beach. There are two dining spaces, an outdoor, infront of the pools and other indoor, air-conditioned. The place is really beautiful; the view stunning. The menu consists of a few but varied dishes (starters, salads, fish and seafood, meat, pasta and risottos and desserts). The wine menu is also small, but it is possible to find some good options. The Octopus with Spicy Sweet Potatoes, the Wok of Shrimps and Vegetables (Eastern-style stir-fried of shrimps and vegetables, served with jasmine rice) and the Crispy Fish (grilled in potato crust over the aracacha purée and orange velouté, capers and parsley ) were very good, as well as the Lemon Flourless Cake (almonds cake filled with white chocolate ganache served with a vanilla ice cream). The service is attentive and friendly. Not a cheap restaurant but really worth it.

When I travel, one of the things I enjoy the most is trying the different foods, the specialties and what is really authentic. The place is amazing, they have a great buffet with a lot of specialties from Minas Gerais(a region in the south of Brazil) Some of them change every day but some are always there. The Buffet style is really characteristic from the wooded stove warming it up to the big pot containing the food. A variety of at least 30 different choices plus the salads and the dessert choices. The owner, a real Mineiro, is welcoming the people at the entrance and sitting them. Strongly recommend that for the great food experience and the medium/low cost. My recommended: "Fejoada" and/or "Tropero" with "Farofa", "Frango com Quiabo" and "Torresmo"!

Designed by the renowned architect Samara Gosson, has an atmosphere classic and elegant style, where you can enjoy the frenetic apparent cuisine. The beautiful crystal chandeliers, furniture, decorations and China cabinet that give us comfort and sophistication in order to overcome the imagination of most demanding. All this, added to the rigor of the French service, so you can enjoy an impeccable service and pleasant moments.
It is not the best meal that I have ever had but it is very good. The service is amazing. I had a lobster dish that good but chewy. The broth was decent, it felt like it was missing something though it could have been better. However, the price is great. I am going back to eat there again this week to try another entree.

In the comfort of the largest mall in the city, combining practicality and flavor, Camarões Midway Mall has dishes for two people and a ever-innovative menu.
We arrived relatively late, around 9.45pm. Our waiter gave non existent service, being far more interested in playing with his phone. Moqueca was very poor, it seemed that the prawns were pre-boiled, then put in whatever dish was ordered. Like eating bullets - tough on the teeth. Quality was no more than average, quite disappointing really.
