Visited for our 9 year anniversary dinner whilst holidaying in Gumbet. Service was second to none, great value and a phenomenal steak each! Had the plank steak with mashed potatoes and veg with bernaise sauce. Cooked perfectly and came out quickly. Was about 60TL, absolute steal! Couldn't quite finish the generous portion but really enjoyed it nonetheless. Will return next year hopefully.

We are a small bistro that provide everything from snacks to restaurant quality meals. All our food is home made from our own recipes, using fresh quality ingredients.
Ate here early one evening... delicious curry, really tasty! We also called up late one night....about 1.30 am after a bit of a boozy nite for a take out...THE BEST CHIPS AND CURRY SAUCE EVER!!!! Sat on the balcony with a Bacardi eating homemade chips and homemade curry sauce... Seriously good!!

We seemed to arrived at a reasonable quiet time (around 7.30pm I think) and got seated immediately. Approximately 15 minutes later every table was full!!
The menu was a good mix of Turkish and English food and there were some original dishes on the menu too.
Both my friend and I ordered an original dish each but I cannot remember the names... (mine was a chilli type thing with chickpeas!). The food was nice although a little oily for my preference but the portion sizes were generous. However, we did find it slightly odd that we were given sides of carrot broccoli and cauliflower as well as chips. I personally think the rice on the plate was more then enough.
The service between being seated, ordering our drinks, receiving our drinks, taking food order, delivering food, asking for the bill and receiving our bill was very slow, however as I said early every table was occupied. This may not be the norm for this restaurant but it was our experience on the occasion we visited.
Despite the slow service the staff were polite and very friendly and very apologetic for the delays (which makes me believe this was not the usual service they provide).
We did enjoy the food we had so would suggest you give it ago if you are in the area.

Having read all the reviews and in all my years traveling to the area and never eating here, I was determined to pay this restaurant a visit. I didnt book, just turned up on the last day of my holiday around 7pm.
From first stepping in to the restaurant, to leaving, nothing could of been better.
I chose to eat off the Thai set menu at 49.50TL (£10.53 current exchange rate). It included a poppadom, followed by a starter and then main course. The filo pastry in the spring rolls was perfect, which I followed up with the Thai green curry.
Having been under the weather the previous day I couldnt do it justice. Believe me though the Thai curry was perfect and goes to show how dedicated the chef is. The staff were extremely attentive without being over bearing. The young man and the lady in the restaurant deffinately know their stuff. I will most deffinately return on my next visit.
I am not surprised they have such a good reputation.

Hacis Cafe - Restaurant Bar is a Family run business and was established in 2000. Haci the owner is the chef and his wife Gemma runs front of house. Hacis is famous for his Parmos and people travel far and wide to sample them. Hacis will accommodated any food request as it is all made fresh to order. Haci serves good food and quality and has a good reputation that's why he has repeat customers year after year.
Popped in to sample the steak and kidney pie, as I do each time I visit Marmaris. Still a great plate of food, and Haci is as friendly as ever!

Hidden in a small side street in a traditionally restored bodrum style stone house is Avlu bistro and bar, with its rich selection of wines and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Come join us for a wonderful evening.
Located in the heart of Bodrum's old city center, Avlu Bistro is the perfect place for dinner in Bodrum. I absolutely loved the ÇÖKERTME KEBABI - which is tender beef served atop fried potato matchsticks in a tomato and yogurt sauce. This was such a unique dish and apparently very native to the Bodrum area. I can also recommend the warm chocolate cake for dessert. Superb all around!
