Often overlooked by English-speaking tourists, Muenster is a small university city near the Dutch border. The Altstadt (old town) was rebuilt after WWII to resemble its medieval predecessor, and you'll find most museums and historic attractions are here. For trendy clubs and restaurants, head over to the Hafen ("harbor") district.

I visited the restaurant without previous reservation. Despite of the fact that the place was very crowded the service was quick, efficient and very kind. The menu offers large options for traditional dishes: as vegetarian I opted for an omelette with fresh asparagus and other vegetables that was very tasty. Nice atmosphere!

Regional cuisine. Westphalian recipes using the finest ingredients, all freshly cooked. Animal welfare is important to us! We support SLOW FOOD a long time. Try our bitter house beer or the wines from our own import. Beautiful bright meeting room for up to 100 people on the 1st floor overlooking historic square.
We were a party of four, and one of us sent the food back to kitchen because the meat was so tough and did not taste anything at all. The signature dish schnitzel was very good. All in all, the prices did not reflect the quality in food. However, the service was excellent, and they quickly replaced the meat dish with a lovely soup. Atmosphere +++.

The Mövenpick Restaurant offers the Swiss charme, a modern ambience and a spacious summer Terrace that invites you to enjoy the popular Mövenpick ice cream, having a piece of cake and a cup of coffee or just to have a refreshing drink at summer time. Our culinary speciality is international and Swiss cuisine as buffet or à la carte. The large menu card also includes seasonal promotions. The culinary calendar provides an overview of the next six months. From Monday to Friday we offer a lunch dish.
There are not so many hotels in Münster, as the hotel I usually stay is in renovation I started looking for some other options, and found out about the Mövenpick hotel. Well, even if the other hotel is renovated again, I'll stick to the Mövenpick. It's a little older, but still very comfortable. Very friendly staff and the breakfast is great. Also the restaurant for dinner/lunch is great.

We like german cuisine especially pork knuckle (haxe) but in this restaurant they were pretty bad, dry and cold on the inside.... The schnitzel was not much better. For us an undeserved number one on trip advisor....
The waiter was an old grumpy german that didn't help the overall impresssion. We will not come back.

I had been craving some paella for several months, but finding a restaurant that was willing to prepare such a meal for anything less than ten people. El Flamenco was willing to do so for our party of five people, so we eagerly jumped on the opportunity. It is located in Hiltrup--a suburb south of Muenster. Parking is available next to the nearby supermarket. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, with typical Spanish/Mediterranean decor, and a very friendly wait staff. The paella itself was fish-based (they also offer a chicken/pork-based version), and was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly complemented each other. Everybody in our dinner party agreed that the paella was authentic and close to what one would receive in Spain. We really enjoyed our evening at this restaurant and plan on being back before long.

Lovely place in the heart of the old town of Munster. The menue is typical german cuisine with generous portions. Great choise of local beer from tap, try the typical schlosser alt. Meal prices ranfe from 9-25, higher range would be a nice big steak. Two people can easily enjoy a nice evening and get away with a low bill.

Picked after Reading Trip Advisor reviews again and as usual proved excellent.
It was one of the best meals that I've had in many visits to Germany. The asparagus soup was something else, (part of the asparagus season).
I had a schnitzel that was super and the rest of the group were equally happy with their selections. They serve the Franken wines which are among my favourites.
Service was really excellent: friendly, helpful and really professional making us feel really welcome. All part of a quality experience.

Since more than 20 years Peperoni offers a vegetarian/vegan all-you-can-eat menu: a main course out of its famous "Gemüsepfanne" with green salad and fruit salad and an additional freshly made juice. You're invited to enjoy this in a very unique vibe and atmosphere. Peperoni is a lively meeting place full of colorful arts - Djahan, Peperoni's owner and founder is looking forward to see you there!
Great food, that is tasty and healthy. The owner is Iranian guy, that seems to be so happy about his restaurant. He talks to customers and provides a friendy and welcome atmosphere ;) And the fresh juices are sooo delicious! I think we will visit this place not just once ;)

Located in the nine Kuhviertel, this restaurant is inside an old local beer factory, and one of the first recommendations is to try their beers, they are excellent. All The recipes are traditional and regional ones and look pretty fine. Allow them to make you suggestions
and it will be perfect. One thing to try is the traditional Todchen.
