We were in a party of 3 for lunch and had a wait of about 15 minutes for a table although there appeared to be plenty of available tables. It was a small celebration lunch and we were looking forward to some slightly special food. The menu was very average with nothing really exiting but there was a reasonable choice. It was another 15 minutes before our order was taken and then another 20 minutes before the first course arrived. The food was good without being great or exceptional. As I was the only person having a starter, I was finished well within 5 minutes but it was another 20 minutes before the main course arrived. Again the food was good to average but most defiantly not great. My other 2 friends had a desert which was basically a cake with ice cream and it took 15 minutes to arrive at the table. I do not know if there were problems with staff but the other tables who were all having afternoon tea by the time we finished appeared to be served very much quicker than we were. We arrived at the restaurant for lunch just before 1 o'clock and left at 3:45 having had a 2 course lunch, not good service by any stretch of the imagination.

Just lovely well-cooked good value modern Scottish food in an unexpected setting
Had a great lunch here with my mum. The pate was delicious as always and the braised rump was so tender. Portion sizes were great and fantastic value at £7.95 for two courses. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Pub Food
Usually a slow service at the bar, bar staff have no idea who is actually bext in the queue.
Food tends to be reheated.
Last time i webt for Sunday morning breakfast it was obvious our food had been lying under heatlamps.
Not very appetising and every time I have been without fail something is missing from the meal, last time it was the tomatoes from my breakfast.
Plus point is the cheap drinks and its fine for something quick to eat, just dont expect the food to be great.
Oh and they have always run out of stuff from the menu.

A long-standing restaurant, the Indian Villa dishes up the best curry for miles around. All your standard favourite dishes and a few more besides. Strongly recommend the Goanese fish with prawns, lamb bhoona, chicken tikka and peshwari naan. Indian and Scottish lagers are available on draught and the usual wines and other options. Portions are generous and you’ll be highly satisfied by the quality and quantity of the food - the tender lamb is a personal favourite. Excellent value set menus including 2 drinks available around the £20 too which makes an excellent affordable midweek meal out.

The restaurant is highly, clean and modern. We didn't reserve but got a table right away at peak time on a Friday night.
The buffet has a fantastic selection of salads, starters, mains and desserts. The food was really fresh and warm. Lots of options for vegetarian customers too. We'll definitely visit again.

Had the early evening menu here with friends and was not disappointed. Welcome was warm, food was lovely, service, as always, was great. We all enjoyed the various dishes served to our table and the value for money is great. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Lanarkshire, but, it's quite small, so booking is a must. Only suggestion would be for them to open a bit earlier, 5.30pm is a little late if travelling into town for a show, so we end up in town to eat more often than not, which is a shame. Will still go here as often as possible though. Well worth a visit if you haven't been.

Visited with group of five for quick bite to eat and conclude business meeting. Venue is appropriately formal yet informal. There was privacy at table and the service, food and choice was very good. There is free car parking and it is just off motorway junction ( although there were major roadworks coming to a finish which created some confusion on how to get to restruant). Second time eaten here and will be back.
