My husband and i visited last night during a weekend in Glasgow, after Reading the reviews on TA. We were very impressed. The staff were lovely, attentive but not too in your face.
We dont eat meat and sometimes have a limited choice in restaurants. Our starter had a fancy name I cant remember but was small pasta parcels with truffle and hazelnuts and was delicious. I nearly licked the plate. The following courses were also very good.
All in all, a lovely wedding aniversary celebration. Thank you

Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will. Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak.
Only a voucher for 40% off main courses made a visit here a viable proposition. The food itself was acceptable but the place itself is tired looking, could do with more of the simple stuff like the cleaning of tables and having someone come and deal with you when you walk in. Good haddock , chips, and mushy peas, good burger too ( an alternative when the first choice was not available ). The tea I was given was wrong..careless. Too noisy in the lounge bar where we sat to avoid going in the main dining bit which had an offputting looking canteen style serving hatch. Have thrown the remaining vouchers out .
Place needs a complete refresh and update to something a lot more stylish.

We are open 7 days a week, so whether you are looking for one of our famous breakfasts, a lunchtime meal or a freshly baked scone to accompany your cappuccino, Café Alba is for you
We went to a cafe that only served cakes (bit too early in the morning for those) and they recommended this busy, slightly cramped, wee place.
Pot of tea was lovely. Beans on toast were fine. Service was quick and efficient. On the expensive side but I suppose it is Milngavie.

Had a meal here with friends on Saturday night. In fairness the food was fine, what can go wring with fish'n'chips, not a lot. That said the clientele certainly could have been better. I was accosted by a couple of drunks in the bar after...MoreHello, The gentleman in question at your table was dealt with in the appropriate manner. Many thanks for your comments.

Odd place. Coffee good. Not sure the scrambled (eggs?) Came out of an eggshell. Beware the menu at 10am as original order was bounced as not being ready for another hour so not as presented

Nice staff, coffee okay but nothing special. decor okay but could definitely do with updating. Food however, was terrible. I ordered the breakfast to treat myself, something that doesn't happen all that often anyway and was left hungry. One slice of toast (seriously, one?!), a completely undercooked fried egg (I'm surprised they managed to put it on the plate without falling apart it was that raw), half a slice (not even a full slice..) of not great quality black pudding completely drenched in oil. Then also a tomato, cut in half and left on the hot plate (one side only) to almost warm through but not quite, a square sausage (that was ok) and bacon that seemed to have been fried and kept warm a long time ago. All in all, bad quality and a sore stomache for a whole day after :-( I will not be back.

With freshly roasted coffee beans right here in Glasgow, we have a wide selection of coffee's, made by our trained baristas. We also have a range of sandwiches, panini's, baguettes and cakes for you to enjoy with your coffee, and please feel feel to bring the whole family as we have small kids Seating areas.
Nice wee find! Hidden away in the corner but was worth the visit. Coffee was real good and very reasonably priced! And the beef Sandwich with pepper Mayo was amazing! Loved the addition of the mini couches for kids!Thank you for your comments... The kids love the small booth areas... and so do the parents... easier to keep an eye on them while still being able to enjoy your coffee :-) I will pass on your great comments to the team in Milngavie.
