Numerous people recommended this restaurant to me because they had excellent seafood at an affordable price. I was a little disappointed. However, the staff was great. Our waitress was friendly and prompt and the owner went around greeting people at all the tables. I really enjoyed the welcoming attitude of the staff. My wife ordered the Chillo Entero, which was huge and wonderful. I ordered the grilled lobster, which was a nice size but over cooked. I would really like to try this restaurant again because their staff was great and it might of just been an off day for my lobster.

Good small restaurant with variety for their lunch specials. Twelve of us stopped for lunch and it was served promptly. We had several small kids so we split an adult plate for two of them. Food was typical from Puerto Rico. I would definitely come back if I'm ever back in town.

All the time I visit Mayagüez get to Sancho Panza. They have all kind of food that is good for your kids, your family, and your fiends. Variety for all gustos. Sabrosa comida, te atienden bien y los precios son razonables. Ve con mucha hambre porque sirven mucho.

This is one of the most popular Bakery/restaurants in town. They serve really good lunch and have an amazing selection of pastries.

Don Quijote restaurant is one of those places that stays the same over the years and you can rely on that. Is not a fancy place but a traditional one. The food taste great and the prices stay great too. Last visit I ordered the daily special, mofongo y caldo con masitas de pollo. The monfongo is not the best I have tried but it was good. Also, my kid ordered masitas de pollo with mashed potatoes and salads. Very good too. I rate the restaurant 3 because it's normal. It's a solid place, always full of people.

This place is a MUST. Delicious PuertoRican food. The owner is always there and absolutely willing to make yours an excellent culinary experience. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly and fully bilingual. Opposed to what Tripadvisor shows, the restaurant closes, usually, after 11:00 pm. Friends of ours rented a villa in Rincón (very nearby) last weekend and Hac Latina provided all the food, tents, and chairs (AMAZING PAELLA COOKED ON SITE). Again, do visit. You won't regret it!!!!

It's very popular in the island, so it's a stop you can't miss if you are in Mayaguez or near by. They have the brazo gitano, the guayaba is the most famous, but they also have it with different fillings. I found the little shop cute & unique. They also have some other puertorrican candies, honey, coffee, sangrias for sale. It's a good place to buy some souveniers if you are visiting. They also have a panaderia/ cafeteria at the back of the store were you can sit and have breakfast and/or lunch. I liked it.

After a average lunch at Mayagüez we need something sweet and ask for a place. Locals seems to love this place... so lets try it.
I will said: Worst "helado" ever.
We try our named versions: Watery Coconut (no so sweet) & Muddy Chocolate Brownie (granulated)
The Only Good are the Prices, thats the reason probably locals like it. Don't Know Why!
As and old friend said: "Oops... I did it again!"
(Sorry no picts, was so fast we threw it to the closets trash can.)

A Great breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot provides a relaxing, friendly venue with great wait staff. The homey feel comes from watching the cook chat and cook simultaneously as you sit at the counter. Flashback to the 50's. That is not easy trick.
The french toast was a huge portion of fluffy, tasty, fried wedge of yeast bread that was cooked to perfection with dusted with powder sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg as a topper. I did think I could eat it all but it " went down smooth".
The conversation between staff and customers was lively and touched on a variety of topics. Totally satisfying experience after a long walk of the beach with a friend.
