Title says it all really, other than rather pricey by Sri Lankan standards. Food was okay - big portions of things like fried rice but rather bland. Whole sections of food and even soft drinks just not available. Right on the main road so noisy too.

We stopped here for a lunch break whilst travelling along the Colombo road in Keggale. Whilst the Inn has rather a tired appearance it is a good place to stop and eat. Obviously the best food is Sri Lankan rice and curry which is 'local' and authentic. Prices are reasonable and staff very welcoming.

The best Rice & curry I ever had was at Mlesna Tea Fortress Restaurant. It had more than 7 dishes of curries accompanies with Steam Rice. Served with Pappadam & Chutney to add to the taste. Staff are really quick to serve and very helpful. An ideal stop over place when you are rushing towards Kandy for a good quick meal. If they can increase the Seating it will be ideal.

This restaurant is on the main road from Kandy toward Colombo.
Our tuk-tuk driver dropped us here for lunch.
It was busy with a local only clientele, but the manager made us welcome and we enjoyed the buffet of various curries.
Very clean, great food, and inexpensive.

We stopped at this small cafe for tea- black lemon tea, after completing the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Its a very basic small cafe serving coffee / tea and snacks.
We paid Sri Lankan Rs. 360 for two cups of tea, which is on expensive lot. Overall a decent place to sit and drink and move on with the journey

The Cool Corner Ice cream parlor is located in historic Kandy, Sri Lanka. Owned and operated by my self Ramesh Perera). Cool corner is local company who offers a unique ice cream experience. My menu offers a wide range of ice cream( Ice cream, Organic Ice cream, vegetarian ice cream, Sorbet, Fruits juice, Frozen yogurt) and smoothie flavors made from completely natural ingredients from the local area. Why we are different? Our ice cream is not premade. It's fresh and more healthy and customers can request ice cream as they need it. Ex- You can ask sugar free ice cream or fat free ice cream. Stop by and watch me make it right in front of you and enjoy in few minutes. Cool Coroner look forward to serving you. Ramesh Perera Owner/ Operator

A classic Restaurant with large space of vehicle parking area and nice view beside A1 Colombo - Kandy Road.
This is located inside saradeal village and this is the official restaurant of the place. They served a buffet on the day we visited. The place is clean and food is tasty and it is typical Sri Lanka (village type) food that you get here .

The views are excellent to watch the elephants bathing in the river. The service was very poor as orders got mixed up so by the time the food arrived it was cold. It was then time to get back to the coach so the food had to be left. Tip: watch the elephants then go and eat elsewhere.
