As others have noted, the views are breathtaking. We were made to feel very welcome, something that is quite rare these days. The service was excellent, and what that young guy didn't know about beers simply isn't worth knowing. The menu is interesting and varied....MoreDanke Schoen!

The Terrace has been an icon for dining in the hinterland for 20 years, having won the best tourism restaurant in Queensland three years in a row and the best in Australia in the year 2000.The Terrace has a huge following of locals and visitors who think nothing of driving up from Brisbane for lunch. With magnificent views and a very romantic out look at night, the best seafood experience in Qld,you do need to make Reservations. This is a wonderful seafood restaurant, in great surroundings on the Queensland Sunshine Coast hinterland.
The food is excellent, the service speedy and welcoming, there is ample parking, and a tremendous view. The platters are filled with lobster, crab, morton bay bugs, prawns. There are other dishes for those who can't tolerate shellfish. I had some brilliant tapas
What more can anyone ask?

The Maleny Food Co. story began in 2001 when it was first founded as Colin James Fine Foods, opening on Maple St, Maleny. Starting out as a café and fromagerie, our gelato and sorbet was made daily on site in traditional artisan style. As word spread and the awards began to accumulate, our name became synonymous with ‘truly amazing’ gelato. Since those early days we have continued to expand our operations, using artisan techniques in our purpose-built manufacturing facility in Maleny, Queensland, and our products can now be found in a growing number of restaurants, gelato shops, boutique grocers and cafes. We now welcome a new chapter in our story, and while our name has changed, our values and the quality of our award winning gelato and sorbet remain the same. Our vision is to create an integrated business of food manufacturing, food retailing and food tourism, built on a strong connection to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are passionate about showcasing Maleny, the surrounding region, its people, produce and stories. We invite you to visit us at our store in Maple Street, Maleny, to experience our walk-in fromagerie, select from our range of local produce, enjoy a coffee, or the deli-style dining and of course, try our delicious gelato and sorbet.
We were holidaying on the Sunshine Coast & decided to come up to Maleny to see if their claim of Australia's best gelato was true.
Their gelato is good, but definitely not Australia's best.
This said, if your in the area do drop into this cafe as you won't be disappointed with the food or service because in addition to their gelato we also enjoyed a good cheese plate, cold meats, cake & muffins washed down with smooth coffee.

A cafe in Maleny that makes delicious fair-trade coffee & food. Focusing on local and organic produce. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch.
Had lunch today at this Cafe and ordered the Special of the Day it was absolutely delicious. We had the zucchini, peas, mint fritters served with rocket, crispy bacon and a poached egg on a Tibetan tomato salsa. Very glad we chose Monica's Cafe for lunch.

Country Cottage set on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Filled with Antiques and serving All Day Morning Teas. Panoramic views to the Ocean
The Geordi Lane Antiques & TeaRoom was an accidental find on a recent trip to Montville with some friends from out of town. We were very glad we stopped! After looking through the variety of beautiful antiques, we sat on the lovely back patio overlooking the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We then ordered some scones and tea; the tea arriving in beautiful glass teapots with China teacups, and the scones arriving on pretty, China plates.
The scones we delicious, fresh and fluffy. I enjoyed the plain scones, my friend enjoyed the date & ginger and my other friend couldn't go past the chocolate fudge cake. All were incredibly delicious and very reasonably priced. Enjoying the tea and scones whilst overlooking the glorious view was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

A little unpretentious Thai restaurant on the corner of Mountain View Rd and Maleny-Landsborough Road, Maleny. It looks a little dated, it's a bit cramped and the decor is a little old-fashioned; what matters is the food is simply delicious with delicate, complex flavours at a very reasonable price. Couple that with friendly small town hospitality and this place is one not to be missed!

Swap the crowds for a relaxing, award winning, dining experience. Overlooking the Obi Obi Creek, Pomodoras on Obi Restaurant is a peaceful hideaway right in the heart of Maleny. Have a lazy lunch or a romantic dinner by candlelight and relax surrounded by natural wildlife in Pomodoras on Obi's enchanting garden surroundings.
What a lovely restaurant! Attractive decor, nice views, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and the food! We have dined twice in the past few days, while staying in the adjacent Pomodoras on Obi luxury cabins (which I also highly recommend). The menu is inspired, the food beautifully cooked and presented, and the atmosphere friendly. Impossible to fault - everything was just great. Pork belly with rosemary gnocchi and some other delicious things, scotch fillet with bean cassoulet and roasted asparagus, and sumac flavoured calamari so tender it melts in your mouth. And the desserts were superb. Thanks for making our relaxing holiday even better.

Modern contemporary Australian Cuisine. Cafe, Bar and Restaurant, located in Maleny for Breakfast & Lunch
Friendly enough waiter, but food took ages to arrive. When chicken risotto finally arrived it was more like a stir fried rice and was very spicy. Was told that the pancakes had burned and would be at least another 12 minutes. When 12 minutes passed was given a bottle of juice. Pancakes finally arrived, tasted fine but the texture was more like a flat cupcake than a pancake. Probably won't go back.

Great place to stop and visit, have some taste testiings and purchase lovely cheeses as a reasonable price. Impressed with the cheddars. Only difficult thing was the tasting samples are on top of the fridge cabinet where the cheeses are...right near the till. so made it hard to taste test as customers were trying to purchase items. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area
