„O PAPARICO“ Restaurant is a hidden gem in Porto. It is absolutely amazing in everyway from its interior décor and charming rustic stone walls, to its furniture and tableware design. Superb elegance and taste! For starters we chose oysters and steamed seasoned bivalve molluscs but dinner began with a warm tasty broth, followed by a set of appetizers which included a black eyed beans vinagrette, a type of codfish pasty, 40 years cured smoked ham and olive fois gras. All delicious and amazingly presented. Then came our starters’ order. The bivalve molluscs were well seasoned and the algae gave it a pleasant sea taste. In between came a “home” baked bread and “bôla” - absolutely divine... For main course we had the baked sea bream with a mixed tomato salad. Very light and tasty. For dessert we shared an egg designed dessert which was splendidly presented and tasted heavenly! Accompanying coffee we were presented with a sculpture that had three types of mini macarrons, all delicious (my favorite was the passion fruit flavoured one). The staff are very profissional and attentive throughout dinner. It was a very pleasant dinner with friends that turned out to be superbly amazing and exceeded our expectations! Very highlly recommend it for an amazing gourmet experience!

The O Forno was the first place we dined when arriving in Portugal, and what a fantastic experience it was, the menu was full of choices and the people extremely nice. I wish I'd got the name of the lady that greeted me, she was so every happy to see us, I don't think they get many tourist, it's a true local place, but well worth finding if your a tourist.

Excellent evening which started when Gabriel and his wife arrived at 18.40 to open the restaurant at 19.00. As we were waiting outside they invited us in. Gabriel explained that he opened at 19.00 and that the Trip Advisor details were incorrect. Additionally it's worth noting he is closed on Thursday.
Gabriel speaks great English and his wife cooks great good! Local vegetable soup to start followed by steak in mushroom sauce and a god bake with corn dog. We both enjoyed the meal, finished off with desert and complimentary fresh fruit and port, from an unlabelled bottle. All was excellent including the wine. €37 for 3 courses and drinks. The restaurant is well worth a visit, don't be put off by the empty retail units next door. Gabriel is the perfect host.

Modern space, with delicious Portuguese gastronomy proposals
Great quality food, with excellent service and atmosphere.
The entries are delicious from the typical corn bread to the patties.
The different fish and meat dishes are all of great quality, with preference to the "octopus fillets with rice of the same".
The price is a little above average, but offset by the quality.

This was not totally their fault but they could have done far better. We stoppped on a Sunday afternoon and really just wanted soup and a glass of wine. The waiters showed me what I thought was a note on the menu that we needed to spend 15 euro minimum. Unfortunately it really said that we needed to spend 15 euros each! They charged us 30 euros which I paid and refused when I asked to pack up some sausage to go to try to soften the blow

Went there with my family three times. A great variety of sushi, I recommend any of the Chef Freestyles. The anti-sushi is pretty good as well, specially the "prego".
The lady who served us was very nice.
The place is very calm, comfortable and charming.
Great restaurant, go there ir you have the opportunity.

A very simple familiar restaurant - almost a coffee house serving meals - with excellent familiar Indian food of Goa origin.
If you hate hot food, don't go there. But they can serve moderate hot meals. If you really like Indian and Pakistan food, don't hesitate.
Wonderful massalas; wonderful curries; exquisite Sarapatel (Goese).
Simple - familiar - service.
Prices.... great for the food's quality, normal for the restaurant level.

After going through some serious refurbishing, this restaurant is now a very cozy and relaxed place with a familiar vibe to it.
Although the food is high quality in general, what made this restaurant really famous was their baby goat roast with oven cooked rice. This is outstanding. Really delicious and yummy. Deserts are also delicious but I always go for the most traditional ones: crème brulèe or the amazing "Pao de Lo" which is a cake made with lots of eggs, runny in the middle and delicious to say the least.
Although completely out the city center (this restaurant is really close to the airport) it is definitely justifiable to make the effort of dislocating this far to enjoy all the delicacies they have to offer.

We have visited this fabulous restaurant many times however returned yesterday after a while only to discover how wonderful it really is. While the location of this place is awkward, weird and industrial, the restaurant absolutely delivers on food, service, ambiance, etc.
The food is basically fish with some meat offerings. Roasted cod, boiled hake, grilled octopus, etc, etc, all amazingly well prepared. Do not overorder as these dishes are all full doces and enough for 2 persons. Order 1/2 doce per person. Beware that all 1/2 doce are €15 so select an expensive one to maximise the money.
The wine.....large offering, stick with the least expensive and listen to their suggestions as they will not steer you wrong. You will not need to spend more than €10.50
The service. They will speak English so do not hesitate to impose on them.
The ambiance. While effectively a rear facing landscaped enclosure in a parking lot, it is light, airy, well appointed and spacious. The table sizes are generous and separate.
Make a reservation just in case. Closed Sundays.
