Overall is good. Dishes are very traditional but the cook might dare a little more. Some dishes seem a bit anonymous. In the starter could be a somewhat seasoned pecorino cheese and liver sausage but cheeses and charcuteriesdo not seem very sought after. The vegetarian lasagna are good but it would be preferable to a harder crust. The house wine is unfortunately poor. In the area there would be many good wines cheap wine but really that wine left me with a bad impression (The white one is better anyway). For children it is very nice outside as there is an educational farm with goats, a donkey, a wild boar, a hare and three deers.

I was here with a group of about 20 during a business trip. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco each and as the hosts' had pre-organised the menu, what followed was an absolute delight to a person who likes to eat food prepared in the local fashion.
The first course was a mashed potato-souffle like base topped with lovely sauted/lightly sauced mushrooms. This course was melt in the mouth and absolutely delightful. This was followed by a pasta course, quite easily the best I've ever eaten! We had penne in a light creamy white base sauce, infused with lovely flavour and had an additional crunch because of the nuts in the dish. The third course was a slice of roast pork and roast potatoes. The pork although delicious was a tad bit on the dry side. A 'tiramisu' ice cream followed for dessert and was the weakest course of all, probably because its taste did not do justice to its appearance. Last of all came the espresso to finish off an absolutely fantastic meal!
As this meal was organised entirely by the hosts, I could not say whether the food and wine that accompanied it was value for money. I can however say that I would most certainly be tempted to go back for more, should I ever be in the region again.

No more to be said. Delicious. Slightly dodgy service from eager young waiter and cloudy wine glass appeared then disappeared swiftly when we pointed it out otherwise it would be 5*

A small, simple family run restaurant with a superb selection of traditional Marche cuisine (they also have several vegetarian choices on the menu) and the rabbit is highly recommended. The service was prompt and friendly, the food was first rate and reasonably priced, the house...MoreThank you for good words. I don't know what's awful music is...

OPENING HOURS MONDAY-SATURDAY = 12:00-14:30 / 19:30-21:00 I'm an Italian-American who has taught in Italy twice, and my favorite place to eat while I'm there is Trattoria da Ezio in Macerata, a small Reinaissance town in the Marche. The restaurant is a little mon-and-pop storefront, and the menu varies depending on what looks best at the market-beef , veal, pork, . I doubt the restaurant even has a freezer!!Every Christmas eve they feed free meals to whomever shows up -they don't turn anyone away.
Its delicious home and hand-made pasta and amazing olive oil (which we happily ate with bread while waiting) would already be good enough reasons to stop at this simple looking, really authentic (in the Italian, not hipster sense of the word) trattoria. Yet there is more. The meat dishes (polpette, grigliata) are also amazing and so are the vegetables. Absolutely loved this place where you can feel that hard work and patience matter when creating a lovely meal. The tiramisu is also a must... Have a chat with the guys serving about how they make things: they will be happy to tell you. We did and it was so nice to feel the passion without show off (a very refreshing and unusual experience for a milanese ;-)

This place was highly recommended by a friend who works in Macerata. "Excellent food and really good prices" she said, and she was right although as I did not foot the bill, I cannot say about costs.
We were a large group, but service was fast and efficient and the food really excellent. I particularly liked the fact that the food was sourced locally and the wines, regional, were all organic.
The Marches are obviously a place for good food, and this is definitely a place where you will find it.

service is discreet but careful. Food was in season, local (they serve food they produce on site), tasty. The chef combines ingredients in a very creative way

Piccola taverna di campagna sopravvissuta ai tempi moderni. Posto eccezionale
In the countryside outside Macerata, a Portuguese cook and a local lady provide very good food and a warm welcome. The place is very simple, the food is great.
We had baccalá appetizers and two different baccalá second courses (the baccalá, salted cod, is one of the specialities of the restaurant), the baccalá mantecato crostini and the baccalá with potatoes cooked in milk were outstanding (a tiny suggestion, if I may.. maybe a little less indulgence on the balsamic and arugula combo... the baccalá with pancetta would have been totally amazing in its simplicity), the housewine correct, the portions good, the bill quite reasonable.

Bella location, ambiente caldo e raffinato, ottimi buffet di verdure, buonissima carne alla brace, ed altrettanto i primi piatti abbondanti, il tutto con ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo....sicuramente consigliato.
