The third-largest city in Poland, Lodz's historical and global significance is largely due to the ghetto that was built there during World War II. Strolling the picturesque central streets will give you an appreciation for the strength of this city and its citizens. Explore the Muzeum Sztuki modern art museum, which houses one of the most important collections of modern art in Poland, or spend the day thrill-seeking at Lunapark amusement park.

Asked for a recomendation in the hotel and was directed to this restaurant. Went back many times during my stay, it's the best around (from the ones I tried) although it is also the more expensive.
Tried several kinds of meat and fish, all good, the soups even better.
The space itself is very interesting, a normal house where the different rooms are now occupied with tables for clients, decorated with old stuff, lots of old stuff! And even more paintings and photos of jewish people and places. To me, very nice!
Live music almost every day, on Saturdays really good.
The owner is the best thing in the house, always going around talking to the costumers, very friendly and distributing a home made slivovitz that is very, very good!
Finally the only not so good point: the service, sometimes, is bad. Very slow specially at the end of the meal (one time more than 40 minutes to pay??). Although most of the waiters/waitresses are very friendly some really need to improve their performance.

I had a chance to eat there a couple of times. I always tried different meals and overtime it was a perfect choice. Its a great place for family celebrations, date, lunch, business dinners. It is an old fashioned and elegant restaurant, which requires appropriate dress code as well. You will never be disappointed with your food choice there :)

There is a magical place in Lodz that always awaits you. It's called AFFOGATO. Located in the city centre, surrounded by the enchanting 19th century Piotrkowska Street tenement houses, Affogato is a perfect blend of a restaurant, where chef Maciej Rosinski created menu inspired by cuisines of the four corners of the world, and a cafe offering an exclusive taste of coffee and unique desserts. Come and visit us
The food is marvelous- we ordered prawns for starter and potato pancakes with ratatouille and wild mushrooms and the duck breast for main course. We also had brownie and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious. Staff was great as well. Did't mind changing some things in our cocktails, so they were just the way we like them!

Nice location in the very heart of Lodz, near the main commercial street: Piotrkowska. Easy to find. Good selection of Italian wines and dishes, including desserts and coffee, of course. Professional and friendly service. A bit pricy, but the food often is exquisite (but not always - don't worry, it might happen everywhere). Worth visiting, for sure.

Very busy when I visited with a great atmosphere. Really good food and plenty of choices for starters and main courses. Food was full of flavour and very reasonably priced

The restaurant is located in the Manufaktura, the old textile factory of Lodz. They have so cozy restaurant with delicious foods. We ate there 2 times during our stay in Lodz. All dishes from Pizza to any kind of pastas were so tasty. I had very delicious Thai pork that I did not expect to have it here.

Went here with 2 young children... possibly slightly too fancy for toddlers but the staff were very friendly to them (felt perhaps a couple of other diners not so happy with their presence despite being well behaved!)
We chose the chef's choice and udon noodles. Delicious food. Slightly more creative choices than we'd normally make but they were very tasty.
Service became a bit slow once the meal had been brought (took ages to bring the bill!)

This is one of my favourite places in Lodz, they make great pancakes, everything is fresh and tasty and definitely worth waiting (usually there is a long queue in front of this place but if you have time you won't regret you stayed and waited :))
You will find here both sweet and savory dishes so every type of pancake-lover should find something good in Manekin :)

This was my first taste of Armenian food and I must say it was very good and the service was very good. It was a quiet place in an alley way off the main drag, yet very safe, don't get me wrong. Everything we tried tasted excellent. I highly recommended this place.
