My partner and I stayed 4 nights at oasis over news year in a room with kitchen. The room is quiet spacious with sofa, nice and confy bed, desk, few mirrors, small wardrobe, safe, powerful shower, little fridge, oven, stove and basic cookware...outside the room a table with 2 chairs in a pleasant garden. Quiet room and you dont hear the next door rooms which was good. The staff and owner were extremely helpful even though we didn't speak any french...specially Jen, always with a smile... They always helped us with anything we needed. The hotel provide shuttles, bike rental and organize car rentals. We didn't rent a car but we highly recommend it. Wifi worked only inside the restaurant and in the lounges next to the swimming pool, which didn't bothered us at all. Crossing the road a small beach, where most of the time we were the only ones. Snorkeling was possible when the water was not too rough. Because we were cooking our meals most of the time we had lunch at oasis's restaurant only once, and the meal was well prepared, delicious actually. I had poisson with chefs sauce and my partner had poulet. Both dishes were really good. Well overall its a nice little hotel close to paradisiac Beaches that we would recommend for friends.

We really enjoyed our lunches at this little restaurant on the "main drag". The service is friendly and the food is just fantastic - and more affordable than at the Drehu Village. Highly recommended.

The Petite Baie it's one of the Tribus in Lifou, which welcome visitors to stay in their villages and be like a local. They have different types of accommodation (bungalow, hut with beds, tipical hut with mattress on the floor).
The hut is the typical Loyalty Island accommodation, which looks like a huge triangle and smells smoky (to keep animals away).
Annette, the owner, is such a good soul! Super polite and kind she is a small woman who will melt you heart with her behavior and kindness.
She got also 2 dogs, the best one is Rooky, which will follow you anywhere and try to play anytime of the day! Don't get scared if he will try to jump and bite your car when he hears the noise, as those animals are trained to do that to defend the property.
The place is such a good spot, in a beautiful garden and with a small private beach where you can admire an amazing sunrise! It's also very clean and comfortable (maybe not the traditional hut that we were in, but we did it to get real essence and soul of the tribu (tribe), and it was an amazing experience!).
Annette has also a restaurant in her small paradise, which is a really nice gazebo in the garden. You have to order the food prior your arrival (overall if you want something particular al Lobster or Crab), and Annette will prepare you a delicious and fresh dinner that you won't forget!
There is also the possibility to get wine or beers from her Fridge, or buy them for one of the small shop on the island and drink them during your dinner.
She can also prepare you the traditional Lifou dish : The Bougna ! which is a mix of chicken (or fish as you prefer), and vegetables cooked in Banana leaves. Must try it!
Anyway, we had such a good time here, we will definitely go back as the sea was STUNNING, the landscape breathless and the snorkeling in the beautiful places was great!
I know that it'a bit too far and too uncomfortable compared to Ilse of Pines or Ilot Maitre, but I guarantee you, that you are not gonna find anything like that in the most touristic places! If you have a bit of adventure spirit, you MUST DO THAT!
And this is definitely the place to stay!!
Say hello to Annette for me and enjoy the beautiful Lifou !!!

Bien accueillis, nous avons apprécié notre repas au Fenepaza.
Très bonne salade papaye-trokac en entrée, l'omelette aux pahatr était impeccable ainsi que la petite glace en dessert.
Cadre sans chichi, service sympa et efficace.

In a very relax atmosphere, you can enjoy a tasty lunch, have a drink or even have dinner on Thu, Fri and Sat.
Smily staff, food from all over the world with a "menu of the day" option, which is good, quick and cheaper.
Overall a good experience!

The Fetra Sun Restaurant, located in the tribe of Luecila , above the bay of Chateaubriand, on the island of Lifou in New Caledonia, welcomes you each lunchtime from Tuesday to Saturday. The restaurant offers a quality cooking prepared with fresh , seasonal products for a changing menu every week around local and international recipes .
Merci to the Fetra restaurant for the beautiful experience. We had a two course meal made of local products. It was inventive, fresh or call it simply yummy.
Unfortunately on Lifou it is hard to find a good culinary experience.
So when you start digging your fork into the meal you are thankful to trip advisor that made you find that exquisite place.
A must.

Joelle vous acceuille avec plaisir midi et soir (de 10h00 a 14h00 et de 18h00 a 21h00). Repas sur place ou a emporter. Terrasse ombragee. A la carte : burgers, salades, panini, sandwichs, quiches, plat du jour, glaces.
A quaint meal option. Had burgers and chips instead of a hotel meal. Kids liked it. A bit greasy. Large helpings!
Under the shade of the trees, come get a taste of this simple cuisine made from fresh daily produce.
