This is like walking into a typical small French restaurant. The choice of dishes is small, 4 starters, 4 main courses and three desserts plus cheese. Everything was good, my husband had the cassoulet and I had the duck confit. The sorbet with calvados was delicious. Our bill was just under 70 euros and we had half a litre of water, two carvas and one glass of wine with our meal. I just had a main course but my husband had a three course meal, I just tasted everything.
The place is small and the owner had to send away a few people when we were there (Tuesday evening) so make sure you book in advance. It is not openend late.

A bit out of town, but really well worth the journey!
Creativity, taste, beauty, surprise, these all words to describe that cooking.
The journey you will follow will be classical, atypical, new... a real treat!
The chef is young, friendly and likes to please others... you can feel it in his plates.

Six course tapas menu for 27 Euro - great deal. First course - foie gras hamburger with semi sundried tomato and ham. Second course - pastilla of cheese and capsicum compote. Third - prawns with chorizo. Fourth - fish with olive paste and tomato and onion relish. Fifth - marinated chicken with balsamic and roquette. Final - honey dew melon dessert. Normally we are not a fan of honey dew melon but this dessert was perfect!
Owner/waiter (Badoc Ron Ron) was great - funny, spoke more english than we spoke french and recommended a great wine to accompany our meal. Definately a highlight of our stay in Liege.

This is the best Bulgarian restaurant out of Bulgaria for sure. I must say that it can compete with the best restaurants IN Bulgaria as well. The food is as good as my grandma's food and the service is excellent!! I'll come back tomorrow and the day after and every time I visit Liege.

The neighbourhood has seen better days. The rue Roture is a very narrow pedestrian street, with a few restaurants in it, very quaint and I'm sure, very authentic (as is the restaurant).
The concept, as some have explained before me, is a very large open coal fire. The tables have square holes in them, to fit square buckets that are filled with coal from the open fire. Thus you can barbecue at your own table. The unfortunate consequence of this concept is that it gets very hot in there.
As to what really matters: the food. For starters, I had the best Toast Champignons I have ever tasted in my life. The meat (main course) is high quality and succulent, very good sauce.
Why then did I rate ths restaurant as "Very good" instead olf "Excellent"? it was the desserts that did it: they are absolutely not up to par with the rest of the meal. My wife had profiteroles with chocolate sauce that came out of a bottle, and I had Glace au Speculoos that should have been described as Glace à la Cannelle (Cinnamon Ice cream).. Pity, and needs work.
As to the bill, that was very friendly indeed. Excluding the bottle of wine, we spent only EUR 80 on what was, overall, a great meal.

What a perfect Italian restaurant. Small, cosy, centrally located with a chef who explains and adapts the menu to your wishes. Recommend the Penne Arabbiata with chili & meatballs. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

An amazing place in Liège (Belgium) to eat meat. It's not only a restaurant but it's also a butchery (famous since 1873). All menus are on iPad, it's an amazing way to learn about products you will eat. Friendly waiters, beautiful place and amazing meat quality, you will be charmed by this new place.
Minimum 1 kg steak for two was too much and had too much fat. Good taste. However, the french fries were not that good.
