A packed restaurant on a quiet night tells you something. This place was packed, with most people eating the delicious cheese fondue. Washed down with good local wine form an interesting selection, this place is well recommended. Don's miss the interesting museum on the upper level after you have finished dinner, for a taste of local Leysin life through the ages.

We ate lunch at Le Leysin and had a delicious lunch. We ordered the daily special menu which is 2 courses for 18chf (an amazing price in Switzerland). The starter was a Greek salad and the main was a delicious steak with potatoes and vegetables.
The food was delicious and the service very prompt. The ambience was lovely.
Recommend to come for the lunch special during weekdays as its the best deal. The rest of the menu is typical Swiss prices (expensive). The food is delicious!

Everything you would expect of a mountain restaurant but with amazing 360 degree views. However, it is usually busy and quite cramped.

I frequent this restaurant often and have had lovely service in the past. The owners are nice as well as their wait staff, however, I had the displeasure of a very unsavory encounter with the chef yesterday. Before I tell you my story, I will preface this with the fact that lunch time was busy and I believe the only staff on duty were the one Chef and one waitress, so service was slow. My colleagues and I decided to have lunch and two of us ordered our favorite kebab plate (which was delicious as usual) and the other colleague ordered a hamburger that was overcooked to the point of it being crunchy. With some visual validation from me and my other colleague, he decided to send it back. The waitress took the plate away and returned about 5-7 minutes later, and said the chef took a bite of the burger and said it was fine. She then asked if my colleague wanted to speak to the chef to which my colleague said "no, it's okay" knowing we had to leave soon as our lunch break was about to end. The chef came out anyway and argued with my colleague, telling him he was wrong because the burger was fine and that he should have told the waitress that he wanted it medium, which he was never asked this time, or in past visits. My colleague confirmed once again that the hamburger was overdone to the point of it being crunchy/burnt. The chef took no responsibility and continued to blame my colleague, as if it was somehow his fault. Accusing him of not knowing what a good hamburger should taste like, saying he's cooked hamburgers the exact same way for the last five years, coming out to speak to him even though he declined wanting to speak to the chef, bringing his plate back out as if my colleague was going to resume eating it, was rude, disrespectful and unwarranted. Paying for a meal you couldn't eat (not only was the burger bad but who wants the chips and salad after it's been taken away and in the care of an angry chef?) and getting no satisfaction, in addition to being challenged by the chef made for a very bad experience. So for me, that's sadly the last time I go.

Ancienne etable transformee en restaurant par ses proprietaires, notre etablissement vous accueille dans son cadre chaleureux. Decouvrez une cuisine regionale mitonnee de produits de saison.
This former stable / barn converted into a restaurant is lovely both in summer (lovely wide Terrace outside, accessible by foot or car) and in winter (cosy inside, accessible by foot or on skis).
The menu is varied, with a number of options for vegetarians (not only salads). A great choice is the cassolette de champignons with rösti and salad.
Good local wines also on offer.
Staff are welcoming, and the restaurant is dog friendly and child friendly - there are quite a number of farm animals on site providing entertainment for both children and adults.
Reservation is advisable.

Davinda Lounge and the team have the pleasure to welcoming you to our warm and friendly lounge bar & restaurant. Allow yourself to drift away to the sound of our wonderful music, let the rhythms take you on a journey of experience, whether tasting our excellent international cuisine, or simply relaxing and enjoying a drink in our bar. When evening falls, the lights go low and a very special atmosphere surrounds the lounge as the music picks up...
We were a group of 6 visiting Leysin, and wanted to go for a drink. Davinda looked pretty cool, but it was empty in that night. We walked in anyway. 15 minutes before they had to close, the manager brought us the bill and said straight away:
"Girls, you have to go, because you are not the ones that keep my business running, but the students."
So is he only good to the students?! We still had 15 minutes, and we were all in our second drink. Then we told him that, and that we were going to finish our drinks and go and that in 15minutes we would be out of the bar, and he was very rude toward us, he said he didn't need us for anything because he has the students that go there and spent fortunes and not just like a bill of 112CHF like ours! What!? Because we are not students, we don't have the right to be treated like people and customers?! And he also made racist comments on our "stupid" accents like he said. Never again. Hope that the students are aware of this. And they should be careful, he only likes them because of their money.

Looks like nothing special from the outside- a restaurant that you could easily miss. But the food- really truly Italian cuisine at affordable prices. A great variety of dishes to choose from i really struggled to make my choice. The pizzas looked amazing! But in the end i settled for home made tagliatelle with white truffle and foie gras (one of the house recommendations). Really fantastic presentation and amazing dish altogether. The wine from the region is also a must try!

Nothing can explain my complete and utter love of Le Mayen Croute, the most delicious eating experience during a day of skiing/snowboarding. Whether a small one as a snack or a big one as a hearty lunch you won't be disappointed with the chefs take on a popular Swiss dish. The amazing view and warm treatment of the staff just add to the experience.

An authentic no nonsense small restaurant on the slopes. Accessible for non skiers by the mountain train. Since some years the restaurant is well known for its excellent roesti. We drank local white wine as an aperitif, nice dry wine. We lunched on emincé de veau zurichoise, Geschnetzelttes, with roesti. Very good indeed. The roesti, an ample portion, is simply deliciously crispy. A glass of local red whine was good. Desserts were delicious, walnut cake and a very good meringue. Excellent coffee.
Service is efficient and very friendly. Prices are ok. Reservations are necessary. We will certainly be back.
