We have been coming back to this restaurant for years and are never disappointed. The owners set the standard with high quality service making you feel part of their family. The food continues to be impressive with traditional Savoyard fare but the speciality of meat cooked by the owner on a large open fire drill in the restaurant.
3 course meal and drinks including wine worked out at £60 per head, not cheap but great value for what it offers.

It is one of the best ski slope restaurants I have been. The food is of very good quality unlike usual ski slope restaurants and the service is very good. I had a vegetable soup which was more of a pumpkin soup and it was...MoreDear Sir, We are pleased to see that you enjoyed your lunch in our restaurant. Le Delice is a cosy yet elegant bistro style restaurant situated in the picturesque Chamonix Valley village of Les Houches. We serve fresh, locally sourced modern european and fusion food for lunch and dinner. We have a small but well selected menu with good wines and cocktails. We can also accommodate private parties. Open 11am to 1am everyday during high season, summer and winter.
We came here with 16 of us to eat and celebrate a birthday. The service is wonderfully friendly, but not inefficient; the food is tasty and plentiful; the atmosphere congenial and the winelist eclectic. When we sang Happy Birthday, it seemed that everyone else in the restaurant joined in too! All in all, a great evening and I would certainly return to sample its delights again in the future.

We ate here on Christmas Eve at the recommendation of our host. It was apparent on arrival that the wait staff were run off their feet there was only 2 waiters working, which seemed strange to us given it was Christmas Eve, and 1 of the waiters kept disappearing into the kitchen seemingly to help in there. It was nearly 30 minutes before we had water on the table and our food order taken. Fortunately when the food arrived it was all very tasty (there were 9 of us and we all had something different/all were equally pleased with our meals) but everything just took too long, and there was no apology or explanation given for the delay.

Vin Chaud 12 euro each . It didn't taste any better than ones we had at 3.50 euros. So if you want to burn your cash, here is the place to come.
From looking at the menu
2 course and a drink for 4 people will set you back 200 euros. I am sure it does taste nice.
It's far more expensive than eating on the slopes in Val D'Isere.

temporarily Restaurant is close finish season,Open around 05 December.
A very traditional French dining experience - from piping hot french onion soup , through to the cheese fondue - no room for a dessert unfortunately. Service was generally attentive, pleasant and helpful. As for the fondue , after the first twelve bits of bread...MoreMerci pour votre avis à très bientôt l'equipe du basilic

The Kitsch Inn offers great value, delicious traditional French and British farmhouse cooking. Breakfast, Lunch, afternoon snacks and Dinner(reservation only for dinners), plenty of vegetarian options and a great bar with wide range of beers and live music. Situated at the bottom of the ski slope in Les Houches, behind the Bellevue Cable car, this is the first true ski-to-the-door, dance-in-your-ski-boots apres-ski bar in the valley of Chamonix! Welcomes all from small groups up to 100 people, all generations and families with children.
This bar and restaurant offers great casual dining. Delicious freshly cooked basic food, friendly and welcoming. Had lunch there 5 out of 7 days in Les Houches.
To cook basic food well and consistently, is to be applauded.

The pizzas were good. But the service was a bit hit and miss. Staff pleasant enough....but forgot one of our Deserts. The other desert was not brought round to the table but slid onto the table through the large arch.
The smell of bleach upon arrival was not very welcoming.
Room for improvement .... But would possibly try again when next in Les Houches.

We stopped at this small, charming (we assume family) restaurant for a late lunch on a very wet, cold day in late December. We were greeted warmly by the guy on the deck clearing the snow, we were greeted warmly and with jokes by the chef serving the food, we were greeted warmly by the host AND the cashier. We made a mistake at the bar, ordering two drinks instead of one because of our poor French and the host was so mortified he insisted on giving us two free vin chaud on the house at the end of our meal.
The food is average - in line with most places on the slopes. It is cafeteria style rather than table service. The family do not speak much English. (Why should they?) But the warmth of welcome, their overly apologetic response to what was quite obviously our mistake, the tucked away spot on the slopes and the friendly service and atmosphere will make this a regular spot for us on the slopes.
