Awarded restaurant with Greek cuisine. Great wine list (500 options) List by the glass (20 options). List of Greek cheeses. Classical Rock & jazz music.
Very attentive service, accompanied by very warm welcome on arrival. Inventive menu it’s items such as Greek Black Pig, which was simply delicious, and scrumpy ample plateful of locally-reared lamb, which my wife thoroughly enjoyed. House wine was very reasonably priced and eminently drinkable, and we were presented with some delicious home-baked cake, compliments of the house, which was a nice touch, and gratefully received. Forgot to mention that we were given a cup of home-made vegetable soup as a great aperitif, as a precursor to our meal! Would thoroughly recommend a visit! Anita and Rod

The linguini with mussels and shrimps is very good, also the grilled calamari.
Very nice decorated restaurant, can accomodate big family dinners.
Very friendly, they offer icecream dessert which is a nice suprise for kids. The french fries are homemade. They can provide special chairs for small kids. It is located on the Platamon port, offering a nice view of the sea, city and Platamon castle. Very good decent pricing. They speak also English and Romanian. Menu is also available on a tablet, allowing guest to see the presentation of the dishes on the menu. Thanks for a nice evening:)

I've eaten a pasta here and it was not bad but also not good. The main disturbing thing about this restaurant was that the waiter did not pay attention to the customers. The waiter taking care of my table was sitting with a colleague and/or...MoreWe apologize if something went wrong. We always try to get better and we hope to see you again!

Up in the old center of Litochoro and away from busy Agiou Nikolaou Street, where most other eating places, cafés and bars are located, can be found this very traditional family run place. There are two tables outside, but it was a rainy day, so I sat inside, with a TV on (but silent) and a pleasant Greek background music (not the usual tourist songs I heard further down).
The original menu-card had wooden covers, but the pages inside were almost non-readable since they had been written with ink, which in the meantime had almost completely faded.
The restaurant advertizes itself mainly as a fish tavern and related to the sea is the decoration on the walls, reminding one that the mountain village of Litochoro always had strong ties with the sea (not for nothing there is a 'Maritime Museum' to be found in this little town).
Since there had been several bad days I didn't go for fresh fish, but for galeos (from the catshark family), which usually is frozen and gets served in tranches together with the garlic-dip 'skordalia', which in this case was surprisingly mild.
The house-wine gets served in the traditional copper pitcher and the white one was quite drinkable and less watered down than elsewhere. The cutlery comes with a wet-towel and the bread had been grilled and was sprinkled with olive-oil and oregano.
At the end the friendly owner came to my table, tapped me on the shoulder and asked me, if everything was okay. This didn't happen at all the other places here and I didn't mind that this was also the only restaurant, which didn't offer a free dessert.

The setting is great. Overlooking the south part of this wonderful beach, you can have lunch while keeping an eye on the kids playing at the beach.
Service was also excellent. The waiter was very friendly, relaxed and attentive at the sane time.
The food was a total disaster. Twelve hours after we had lunch there , both my wife and myself had problems leading us to very frequent visits to the toilet.
The grilled octopus had obviously been cooked days before.
The grilled sardines were tasteless, a sign that they were waiting in the restaurant's freezerfor some time or that they were imported frozen. This period of the year in Greece, sardines are very tasty even without any spices.
The fried gavros fish was not even half decent.
Even the boiled greens were tasteless!!!
The only dish we could eat without struggling was - to out surprise - the grilled shrimps! They were imported frozen but they were OK.
In a nutshell, avoid the Nostalgia if you want to skip the assquake!

A very nice and romantic beach bar, just by the sea. You can enjoy your coffee, soda or drink, watching the waves of the Aegeon Sea!

We have been having lunch at Meltemi for years.
Originally we left the ladies sunbathing at the beach, 50 yards away, and we guys had a few drinks.
Now, with our families getting bigger, hungry kids and all, we take lunch at Meltemi whenever we go to Panteleimonas for a swim.
Yesterday we had two servings of grilled sardines, two salads (one was the Politiki and the other one was Vlita), two spaghetti Napolitain, a couple of beers and 100 ml of Tsipouro. We paid 50 euros total, a fair price.
The lady serving the tables is certainly no pro, but she is trying her best with a smile and that is enough for me!
Everything was very good, the new tables & chairs are a great improvement over these years, food was very good.
A safe garden for kids to play, this is an easy recommendation!
