Excellent food and excellent service. Great recomendations if you cant decide what to order. You can order some unusual Indian vegetables which are nice to try. They also offer Bangala beer which you cannot get in many Indian restaurants. This restaurant was the first one in Leighton Buzzard / Linslade and has stood the test of time.

Welcome to The Anchor, Tilsworth. Great news! We've got new owners, Steve Barringer and Amy Watson, and we're now open for business! Please visit our website and search AnchorTilsworth for us on social media!
We visited the Anchor for a double family birthday meal. It was highly recommended by friends and we regularly eat in lovely local places. It was superb ! Decor and ambience brilliant . Welcomed in by Amy and having watched Steve bravely compete on MasterChef we were impressed when he brought the meals out and gave info about his dishes to us . The food was fantastic as imagined. The meal was not rushed and we had comfortable family time. It was topped off by a really lovely happy birthday desert which combined sorbet with jelly and custard ... Won us over totally. We will return and can totally advise a visit.

The food here is second to none. Whatever you decide to have just be assured you will not be disappointed! I always try something new whenever I visit and have always left feeling glad I came, unlike so many others I have tried.

My steak off the special board, arrived looking rather grey and limp, as if it had been boiled. Always a worry if the kitchen can’t cook a steak properly. The pepper sauce luckily gave it some flavour. The kids food was fine (hot dogs and fish fingers had been warmed up beautifully). The other grown ups seemed also ‘fine’ with their food. We don’t mind big chips, but these ones were essentially square roast potatoes. Luckily without any decent competition in the local area, The Ship will do ok. The service was attentive and food did look fairly pretty on the plates

We love this place. The food, the service, the atmosphere. We had the fabulous Sunday Roast yesterday and as always it was cooked to perfection. For entres we had prawns which were awesome, fresh and juicy and the three cheese souffle which was delicious. Thank You!

Stacey and Dave welcome you to The Plough Inn, Wingfield. Situated in the hamlet of Wingfield, within the parish of Chalgrave in Bedfordshire, The Plough Inn is a pretty, thatched country pub with a lovely atmosphere, low ceilings, oak beams and an open fire. In the summer, the enclosed garden offers scenic views across open countryside. The building itself is approximately 350 years old and was once a coaching inn.
I was traveling from London so Leicester, needed to stop and feed the family, really didn't fancy the service station! Found this place, not too far off the beaten track. The staff where wonderfully warm and welcoming, a delightful ambience, traditional country cottage. The food was absolutely delicious! Quality ingredients used, there was a better than average menu selection for the children too. No compromises in quality there either, very fairly priced. Thoroughly enjoyed our stop, I would highly recommend this place.

First popped in here after the Christmas light switch on, food was amazing and staff were great, went back last Friday popped in and managed to get a table, ordered the potato dumpling with Italian sausage and Leek sauce as a starter which was amazing, and then had the Ravioli, My Wife had the pan fried pigeon breast served with a smooth beetroot puree
and balsamic reduction, food 10/10 , really lovely place, just what Leighton Buzzard needs at last. Will be back very soon.
